This purge is completely useless, 98% of the time no place to set up yet i dont have a neighbor within 1 grid square on all sides,everytime i get one the first person i kill the purge ends and the message the attacker’s have determined they cant reach your treasury,i am so disappointed by hiw you people dont take care of anything unless its from the store, still waiting for the bugs to be fixed from aos chapter 1,you know you said you were going to fix the way big cats attack,fixing the issue of getting stuck in environment when fighting rocknoses and rhinos,they turning on a dime for big monsters,and about 40 other things you were going to fix before aos dropped,according to your advert i was supposed to have a quality gaming experience wich i have not received since playing the game with all the bugs,if yo7 expected me to play the dune survival game im not,itll be hustbas buggy as conan is most likely and all we’ll get is excus3s like we have been getting
You have to take into account experiences very. When I was testing it originally there were 4 difference places the raiders could set up camp. My complaint was one was practically in my raidme base.
If the “purge” didn’t start it was either because the server was lagging or there was an even going on real close; my raidme base was right out side serpermeru and it has those random events. But they got boring and the loot was eh.
It changes in chapter 4. I haven’t had the chance to test it because I got really badly side tracked
Just as humble suggestion if you want to give feedback that has even a glimmer of hope of being heard: focus on the subject of your feedback, not on rambling about everything that is wrong in life and the universe.
The Purge has obvious issues about finding its way to the treasure. I haven’t experienced this very often, as I’ve built a small platform in a specific place for the specific reason of triggering Purges. Still, despite having lots of room for the FOB to spawn (and it has spawned in various locations around my platform), it has once stopped after the first wave due to “not finding a way to the treasure”. It’s out in the open!
I don’t know if the Purge still has trouble with bases that have an actual gate. I’d rather not risk damage to my actual home base.
If the purge started, then it’s possible that you accidentally ended it early.
Did you move anything after it started?
Did you close a door after it started?
Just because it doesn’t always “work” the way you want it to, doesn’t always equate to it being a bug.
The mobs can also get stuck on top of the tent in their camp, or blow up something in the way that breaks their path.
Many things can cause the purge to stop while it’s ongoing without any player input.
Good point. Getting stuck in the water was something I experienced early on and moved my base back to accommodate.

Can we just get the old purges back? I’m not a huge fan of a tower defense game where you just channel mobs into a labyrinth of death.
Specifically, it was a gate that immediately transitions to stairs. Dont know if this is fixed, but if a gate has stairs and not a foundation buffer, that will stop the pathing. A friend of mine was having this issue and putting the gate back a square on foundations from the stairs fixed it.

Agreed. The old purge system was much more immersive and gave base building a purpose. I miss the threat of someday ‘being attacked.’
It is currently a thought experiment of mine as to how I would go about a modded-in old style purge. If I ever attempt it on one of my maps and get it working (at all) I would see about extending it as a stand alone… can’t promise anything, but I’m thinking about it

O castelo é ótimo espero que nuca saia do lugar é muito fácil dessa forma basta ter um foco, é proposital para fazer muitos “hahaha” sair quando sabemos que ficou por mais de 20 horas jogando em um mesmo dia para conseguir

The main thing with the old purge was, it was easy to cheese.

No I never triggered it then logged out, but I did have an Admin “accidently” trigger the old purge on the entire server. While I was off line.
If you really want to fix the old purge, you shouldn’t have any indicator that it’s coming.
And it also shouldn’t trigger if the player is off line.
Personally I hated the old purge, the Animal purges specifically.
But I understand other people liked it, and if you take away the indicator or toggle the indicator.
And make it so the player must be on line, I wouldn’t object so much.
A toggle to turn it off wouldn’t hurt either.
If I do it, it wont have a bar (mainly because I dont like more UI, I like less.). I would do it on Isle of Men first because the point of that map is to make the player weep. Not cry mind you. Weep.

And yes, I didn’t care for the animal purges. Human purges that used animals to help them is one thing, but all animals… no.
The Purge was the only thing happening on its own in this game.
The entire sandbox is lifeless and static, everything is there just waiting for you to interact with it first. And the purge was the only thing that poured a sense of life into the sandbox. It gave a slight impression that the world is alive, that there is something going on on it’s own and that one day they are going to come to get you.
Currently without the purge the sandbox feels like a mannequin gallery rather than a simulation of real world.
This is why I welcome all new mechanics that Funcom is introducing, like these new ambushes, I want PvE ambushes outside the quest too. Night predators like wolves (biome dependent) spawning randomly in the night and attacking. Hungry tribals/exiles ambushing player. Just like in the PvE Ambush mod but maybe even better.
They should bring back the toggle at least for private server, purge did have a toggle before the revamp.
If you make a “legacy purge” mod I am going to sacrifice all my thralls to you and place your monument at the central square at Sepermeru.
This is why I had our purges set to give only 60 seconds warning (the minimum I believe). This is supposed to be a savage attack when least expected, enemies charging suddenly from the bushes etc. Not a warning “guys, we are going to raid you… let’s say… in 5 minutes, ok? get ready…”.
