Can we get more revealing outfits in the game?

The little number that you can make in the casting table is nice but… Since there is a bazzaar now, can we get more and more revealing stuff since it would be by special purchase and not part of the base game?

Gotta agree. Believe it or not, it’s totally lore friendly in the sword and sorcery genre, and women ACTUALLY LIKE the more revealing and sexier armors as well as the more historically accurate ones (sometimes even more). My clanmate keeps saying she wants to look like a total hoe if she can! Lol… so yeah, it would be nice. The illusion feature changes the game entirely and I think it should be embraced more than shunned.

This game has a severe lack of looking like a Frank Frazetta or Boris Vallejo painting. This needs to be fixed stat.

I was expecting this classic to pop up eventually. The, let’s say asymmetry between male and female armor designs is a decades-old trope. Whether it’s full plate armor with protruding boob-plates, or just mail bikini, it seems the primary function of female armor is to show off the feminine shape.

In some contexts this is an understandable and acceptable decision. Say, wargame miniatures. They’re small, and they’re often viewed from some distance when playing a tabletop wargame. That’s why each model’s silhouette needs to be distinguishable.

Then there are video games. To paraphrase a certain best-selling fantasy author commenting on Skyrim: “if you’re going to spend 200 hours watching your character from behind, you’re going to choose a behind you like watching.” That’s an entirely different justification. Not that I have any moral high ground to judge anyone.

As for Conan Exiles, I love new outfits. Although I much prefer realistically protective armor over skimpy fantasy armors (and yes, I know historical revealing armors existed - they just weren’t very good for protection), with the Illusion system being just that - illusion - it’s a lot easier to accept and enjoy people running in mankinis and surviving sword blows to their “shiny parts”.

The one thing I’m missing from the game is a unisex version of the Darfari necklace. Crom Coins will be paid for that. (I know there are mods for that, but they also alter some armors which I like the way they’re designed officially.) You could still have it respect nudity settings my utilizing the standard chest wrap underneath.

Also some outfits like McFarlane twisted fairy tales should be amazing, but it is just a personal tasty. I wonder if someone else enjoys them too.

While I don’t mind more revealing outfits, I mostly would like some armors/daily outfits for both genders that looks more simple with not too many attachments that make them look like beasts, I would love something that looks more normal for a mix of daily use, hunting, working etc. same goes for weapons… Maybe I am just playing the wrong game for that to happen

Without the helmet, it’s a really good piece!
Plus I like the high boots but white with fur? Maybe the boots are a bit off too!

Valeria from 1982’s Conan movie

Please no. Despite the ultra-horny Frazetta art and the movies, the books actually write about how prepared and skilled combatants actually wear fully protective armor, including Conan.

I know this may come as a shock to you all, but contrary to the litany of revealing battle-stripper costumes we have, that’s not how it was meant to be. Nudity and revealing outfits were only worn by non-combatants, prisoners, the unprepared, or the stealthy. Real warriors wore real armor.

Too much has already been bikinified, we need more proper armors.

Sexy armor doesn´t nec. mean runing around barely clothed. It just means that female characters should get armor that “compliments their attributes” for lack of better wording. People choose female characters for a reason. The vanir top is a good example for what I mean. Its sexy but still covers everything very nicely. Leather in particular looks good on both characters, male and female. Also in combination with metal.

This said, I think most female armors in the game could need a little overhaul.

I have never understood that. If you opt for full nudity or only half nudity, the darfari necklace should have no leather piece. It is just tribal clothing. I am pretty sure, that the darfari do not care at all if their women are bare chested or not.

The same with the setite top.
