I think Conan exiles needs a Egyptian build set and some Egyptian decorations/statues
I think you mean Stygian, Egypt doesn’t exist for another few thousand years in the timeline
Have asked for a Stygian build set before.
The age of Stygia hmmmm
Mostly because I want a Sphinx statue lol
If you have access to mods, there are some very nice options available.
If not…
This one agrees that Stygia needs more attention in the build sets.
We can call stonebrick the “Stygian” set all we want, just like we can pretend the insulated wood is “Nordheimer” but it really doesn’t capture the flavour so well, does it?
One of the cultures this one laments that there will never be an old style DLC for is Stygia.
Right up there with Hyrkania and Lemuria on missed opportunities.
If you have access to mods, indeed.
Murun
Desert Buildings
Ardashir
These make for some lovely bronze age fertile crescent towns.
The Turan expansion set is semi Hyrkanian. Can build yurts. Not large ones, but still something.
I’m all for more building styles though.
But the Turan set is Turanian…
True the yurts and pavilions are sorta adjacent, and Turan hires many Hyrkanian warriors… But one is more opulent while the other would be more barbaric in the Howardian sense. It’s like spearmint when one wanted peppermint.
That having been, said, this one is extremely happy and enthusiastic about the new Turan set. The pieces look gorgeous and this one looks forward to building with them. They absolutely fill a nitch that this one feels has been long vacant.
Well, don’t be too excited just yet. The pieces are kinda bugged. I had trouble trying to put 4 rounded walls together.
Hoping that gets fixed soon.
Yes, it’s Turanian. But I guess it’s the closest thing to a Hyrkanian build we’ll get. I’m even using some of the newer pieces to fulfil my Vendhyan build desires. Make the best from what we’re given.
Respect for yurts, please These are winter-proof mobile dwellings. And you want your dwelling winter-proof when living in Siberia.
It’s why you still see yurts in Ulaar Baator as of today, because the Stalin sponsored housing is not winter-proof. 80 years later people still have to rely on their iron age dwellings.
What would be like a Stygian Set ?
The mad prophet Armor is very Egyptian looking, will that do?
They should totally add a new corrupted agility perk for this Age - Martyr - when you are killed by the enemy you drop an explosive jar
I thought what he said was interesting not sure why you responded so rudely, relax!
I’m interested to know why you thought it was rude?
This one personally would suggest a stuccoed terracotta style building. More plastered over than, for example, the stone brick set.
Larger rectangular windows (like the market window from the sandstone expansion).
Smoother, rounded corners.
Round pillars.
With the prevalence of Set worship, serpent engraving on decorative portions would be appropriate.
The architecture in the city of Sepermeru is very close to what this one would like to see. Not perfect, but if those were released as build pieces with a made in Stygia label, this one would not complain. That said, for a set being added to the Bazaar, this one would prefer new assets to existing ones in game just having the restrictions taken off, for numerous reasons.
@Firalex
This one has nothing but respect for yurts.
Barbarian, in the Howardian sense, is a compliment. It indicates pragmatism, functionality, dignity, and freedom from decadence and corruption. Especially contrasting with the opulent treachery that infested the “civilized” places.
“Civilization, ancient and wicked”
This one also very much wants yurts available in game. Whether as build pieces or as large placeables.
Building sets like Nordheimers, Cimmerian and Sepermeru would be cool, actually.
Can’t speak for others, but I thought it was rude because your response seemed rude. Or at the very least passive-aggressive.
“Thank you for your lecture that nobody enrolled for. I’m sure most people are aware of what yurts are. This is a video game. These are yurts.”
The very first line is rude, your reply is neither polite nor productive; am I missing something? The second line then implied that everyone knows the information the poster posted, which not everyone does, so it seemed like that was an unnecessary attack as well. The poster was just sharing a bit of info he found interesting. If you didn’t like the info you could flag it as off-topic, but no point in being passive aggressive to someone who only wanted to add positivity to the overall conversation.
