Never ending pinpoint precision acid spit without enough pause to even shot a short with the bow.
It is always agroo on ONE player (usually me) so when we kill it as a team the others have a vacation time doing it. While I just standing at the top of the stairs just behind the rails.
But alone Simply can’t do anything with that slug.
Are you actually playing with 0 vitality? So youre running around like a lvl 1 player regarding health?
Why? Got a deathwish?!
Vitality is one of the most important stats if you ask me. (Along with strenght.)
It has nothing to do with Funcom needing to fix their game if you ignore that you are better off with a lil extra HP… Even 30 vitality lets you reach a considerable HP pool. (I think it is 410?)
I for myself would never play with below 30 vit if I’m already 60. It’s another story for leveling phase though.
I would assume 30 strenght, 30 vitality and 20 encumbrance as a basic build from when on you can pick whatever stat you want, using the left over 130 (?) statpoints.
So what stats are you using and how much of each did you stack? And what armor do you wear?
Also if you already tell us about how you went in there with a friend, eighter you or your friend should have used a shield. Said shield causes enemies to stumble on any direct attack. Sure, the spit wont cause him to stumble, but you wont be damaged I think. So one would have blocked all the time while the other one could have gone all out beating that thing into a pulp. (Let the one with the shield attack and block a few hits first though.)
And as for doing that thing solo...
I neighter know wether that is currently possible, nor if you can still outrun those attacks like one could at the beginning. Simply walking/running around, waiting for that thing to to its leap which causes a 10 or even 15 second window to open up which is then to be used to kill that thing. (of course needing several of those windows)
I think using a bow and eighter obsidian or set arrows is possible when doing so. Its been ages since I last did that dungeon solo. (Like when elevators got implemented.)
I do know how bad it feels when others tell one to toss ones playstyle away...
People have been doing that with archers the last months as well. Archery is (almost) useless due to the changes during the combat updates. (Only useful if you get an archer from black hand, take its bow and use set arrows until you can craft steel weapons.)
It got nerfed so much, that only an archer who goes all out for that (using a perfect combo of statpoints, flawless armor, warpaint and all different potions) starts to deal considerate damage.
There is so much more work to do to be able and become a proper archer compared to how much has to be done to become a melee whose damage is good.
I think it was 72 damage plus multipliers compared to
im a harvester, but even harvesters shouldbe able to at least go up against the bosses without being one hitted, at this point i have to take a tank with my to agro the boss. and if i step in his acid i guess i just lose i unno. im not gonna be FORCED to play a character i dont like, its bad enough i have to use light armor to get the bonuses i need. i hate micro management systems like we have to do with the lotud potions, it makes for a bad time for me at least
Hm.
Can someone tell me if lemurian armorers allow to craft that survival dress in flawless?
Or you just pick up that certain dogs-of-the-desert named armorer and craft flawless hyena armor (recipe near galleon/black hand maincamp). This grants you +9 survival.
-> Now you need 21 survival at most and would need to bring that armor if you’re farming. (If you only mean to use 20th and 30th survival perks.) You can use reduction kit for that stuff to reduce the weight.
-> I recommend flawless light basic armor+backpack; +13 encumbrance. If you’re going for 30 to bring back loot, you would need 17 encumbrance that way. (I think each named armorer comes with the three basic armors.)
Then you’re free to use any else points for other stats. Hopefully this helps you.
What do you prefer to fight with? 2h swords? Daggers? Bow? Hammer? Obviously not sword+shield…
That would be your last set you need.
Me personally I tend to run around with encumbrance set, sandstorm mask and climbing gear in bags, and some gear on my toon. Or directly wearing light set.
flawless is out fo the question till its fixed, cant reapir the armor so no point in having it right now yea the bonuses are nice but when it breaks during a fight meh out of luck
Yes you can repair it.
On the run if you use repair kits; or putting it in the armorer bench with the correct armorer “equipped”.
Then the armorer repairs the armor, works just fine!
Just keep it above 50% all the time (and really use gathering armor only for gathering, not when fighting, then it will last a looong time.
Huh?
No! You just need to learn the correct repair kits. Though the armor in question needs at least 1.0 durability for the kit to work.
Also I am not sure about armor and tiers, as those different tiers of kits usually work up to their tier, they cannot repair above. However, hardened steel kits will work on any armor. (Like you cannot repair legendary weapons without a purge-only-blacksmith who grants access on legendary kits.)
But if you are able to craft those flawless armors, then you have an armorer at the station. (!)
Just put the broken armor into the same station without changing the equipped thrall and you can repair the armor. The armor needs to be in the station to be repaired. (As well as the materials to repair it, but that should be obvious.)
purge only? thats lame i dont think ill be playing this game much longer, too many stipulations to get things done, the purge thing specially a deal breaker for me
I think that depends. I dont really like hammers, I prefer 2h swords or daggers. Or bows, if those werent dealing -33% damage compared to melee… (Comparing optimized archery build with same build only using telith 2h.)
But overall, yes playerdamage wont onehit everything.
If you are going all out on melee I would recommend 40 strenght for the heavy damage multiplier.
If you are using 2h mace (I call them hammers though), going for 40 strenght and 40 accuracy for the +50% armorpenetration might be helping. You know, adding a armorpenetration-kit to a hammer, then hitting enemies just as hard as you can. Deals tons of damage.
How to reach those stats?
Flawless armor.
Legendary weapon (if possible +strenght).
Warpaint.
Potions. Yep. Plural. We can stack them: Using each potion.
Well… if we could craft them… Crimson Lotus, anyone?
Might want to check which consumables give random potion effects though.
Whatever. Those stats are possible!
But yes, most keykeeping monsters are hard to kill. Just search the ones which arent as hard to kill. Some of them might onehit you though. (Well, one of them.) Hint: The oneshotting one is in center/desert part of the map (like “old map”), others are in new biomes.
Or you try using those spiked palisades to kill those monsters. Crazy, but watching those youtube videos, it seems to actually work.
Feels bad though.
There is a need to adjust bossHP. (Serversetting, Singleplayer works via serversetting!)
Those keykeeping monsters need to be readjusted. Even if using spiked palisades works to kill them, its kind of frustration how long it takes to kill them by usual combat. It feels wrong to use those palisades…
Oh…
Dude!
You neighter actually read what I wrote, nor do you seem interested in help.
You know. I pointed it out for you.
Repairing flawless armor?
→ Do it in same station with same armorer. Or when not broken with a sufficient repair kit.
Repairing legendary weapons? (aside of crafted ones!)
→ Get a blacksmith from purge and craft those legendary kit through him.
i take advice just fine, i got what you said, the legendary requiring a purged version of w/e sucks, purges happen every so often and most of the time they are animals not blacksmiths and armorsmiths. thats what i dont like, this is just one thing on top of soooooo many flaws.
The worst of purge is that it’s bugged for a lot of people.
The second worst (and worst once first one is fixed) is the number of max amount of purges per day.
This needs to be risen a lot! Ideally it would become a flexible value, depending on how many unique players log in on a server. So ideally, everyone could be purged every day. (Usually the meter goes down once one got purged, didnt happen to us though.)
Those two are serious problems - I am with everyone who hopes for a fast fix of those.
(Playing on official pve-c btw.)
Btw. There is only a legendary repair kit for weapons afaik. For armors, the highest repair kit is made from hardened steel, learned as a normal feat. If something wasnt clear.
I’m Level 60 with 30 vit and 30 strength. I’m having trouble with enemies. LV 60 is having trouble with enemies with high gear and lenderary weapons. Enemies and I do mean boss and none bosses all need nerf. It takes 2 hits to kill a turtle with a lenderary weapon. Remember my mace is the best two hand mace. Enemies need a nerf.
Many players disagree with enemies needing a nerf. You are not the only person with an opinion.
If you have issues with enemies try a server where enemies are set to weaker or players are stronger both are modifiers that can be applied. Asking to have the game changed around you because you don’t like the enemies being difficult is a pretty entitled attitude.
Just play on a server with different options as you can see from this thread very few people have an issue with enemies. And even more people don’t use the forums but is it was that big a deal there would be a bunch more people on threads complaining about it
the point of a game is to overcome the challenges. THATS what makes a great game. if you are having a hard time, then you need to figure it out. You have to remember that you are talking about a boss. in all boss fights you will see very high HP and that’s due to the fact that you are fighting a boss and not a regular mob. not trying to come off offensive but people need to stop having things nerfed just because They can’t beat the game. What about the rest of us because I’ll tell you right now. I will stop playing a game if it’s too easy and I know many people that will. I killed a boss that was suppose to be a lvl 60 fight at lvl 32 and won. that’s how easy they are. boss fights in this game are a joke and to think that you can’t beat them, doesn’t make sense to me.
theres a huge difference between cheating and challenging. i figure it like this, the game cheats me all the time, i dont mind doing a manual nerf to “overcome” this aspect of the game, by cheatingme i mean 4 swings=0 dmg to an anemy as if i wasnt swinging an axe at their face, i get bosses are meant to be hard, i have no issues with hard bosses, but what they did is unfair and many people see it. i grew up on games that todays kids cant even get past lvl one. when they stack the game agasinst you its not challenging its irritating…
