Does anyone know anything about renting a private server via gportal for PS4 and whether or not there is an option to backup the game server data? If there is an option to take backups, what is being backed up?
Yes. You have like 50G of storage for backups, so you can have multiple for roll backs if you want.
But word of warning, PS4 Server owners are severely limited to very few changes outside of xp, harvesting, and raid/pvp times. And not many easy, if any, ways to wipe buildings, check for duping, verify last log in s for older clans, etc. No access to db per Sony security rules limits alot of the stuff you see server owners post about. And no mods as well. Anything you spawn in that is not owned by you NPC wise disappears whe your server restarts, so minimal dungeon and city building if that is something you might want.
Just wanted to make sure you understand that before sinking money into it.
