Hi and welcome to the forums

A friend and I had the same problem a few years back - never did find a solution unfortunately. But I did pick up a couple of titbits that might be contributing -

  1. are either of you still using windows 7?
  2. are either of you using AMD hardware? (Very old issue, should be long since fixed, but just in case.)
  3. is the hosting PC definitely powerful enough? (I would imagine if it’s low powered, it would more likely just result in a lot of lag rather than fail altogether, but I guess it’s worth being sure.)
  1. we both on win10 and steam
  2. we both with Nvidia
  3. Both pc have ryzen 5 5600x as cpu, and one rtx 3070 and one rtx 2070 (the host is one with 3070)
  • Tried open ports on modem, firewall incoming and outcoming (7777, 7778, 27015, 27031-27036) for all TCP & UDP
  • added, in the firewall apps, ConanSandbox.exe and set exception for both public and private
  • Added also the exception on window antivirus for both conanexiles folder and for exe
  • Both only windows antivirus

Well, the only connection I can see to past known issues is the ryzen processors - there was some issue way back linked to AMD processors - but my understanding was that issue was supposed to have been resolved years ago.

The only possibly relevant post I can find is this exchange from 2019.

Hopefully when the community managers come back to work on Monday they may be able to offer some solutions. Sorry I wasn’t able to help, but hopefully the extra details you’ve added will give them somewhere to start.

Ah yeah we have all the ports open, on both modem and local firewall

We’ve seen that disabling (only host) windows defender completely it works (2times of 3).
What could be tho?

If you’re having trouble playing in co-op on PC, here are some things you can check:

  1. Check Game Settings – Make sure co-op mode is enabled in the game settings. Some games require you to enable it manually.
  2. Internet Connection – Ensure both you and your friend have a stable internet connection.
  3. Firewall & Antivirus – Your firewall or antivirus may be blocking the connection. Try disabling them temporarily or adding the game as an exception.
  4. Steam/Epic Friends List – If the game uses Steam or Epic, make sure you’re both online and friends on the same platform.
  5. Port Forwarding – Some games require specific ports to be open. Check the game’s official support page for details.
  6. Mods & Versions – If you’re using mods, ensure they match with your friend’s. Also, confirm that both of you are running the same game version.
  7. Restart & Reinstall – Restart your game, Steam/Epic, or even your PC. If the issue persists, try verifying game files or reinstalling.

What specific issue are you running into?

Hello! As wrote above, with a friend we cannot connect to each other session:
when any of us try to join the other session, the game stuck on “Attempting join game.”.
We both on pc and steam, no mods and just reinstalled the game and verified the files.

We both opened all the ports on both modem, firewall incoming and outcoming, and add to Window defencer exceptions both conanexiles folder, and Concan…exe file.
