So this bug started yesterday shortly after the update. first, I wasn’t able to hold anything in my left hand (shield, binding, etc) then today as I played I’m not able to hold anything at all. I’ve reinstalled the game, Updated my server and restarted it (mcpro hosting) and made new gear. nothing worked so the bug is in my character I’m figuring. Help.
Update on Problem:
OK, found the weirdest fix ever in gaming history. I was making a video to show exactly what was going on and I decided to equip a bow in my hands and everything started working properly again. i’m not sure if this is a permanent fix or what. maybe a bug that corrects a bug. who knows but it fixed it for some reason. let me know if this works for anyone else and i’ll let y’all know if it breaks again. as far as the video it never left the settings screen so that was a no go.
I’ve the same problem. Since i started the game today i cant hold anything in my primary/right hand. If I try to equip my sword by click 1, the fighting animation comes but my sword is still unequiped and I only can fight with my hands. Only two hand weapons are still working. Need help fast …!
I had the same problem. Not in singleplayer, not on any other server. Finally I created a new character to fix it. I hope this bug will never come again!
Exactly. Me being admin i can get back to my current level but the journal would be wiped clean. this is not an option as this is the reason to have a Dedicated server.
I can’t hold anything in my second hand either since the patch from a few hours ago.

Running a small dedicated server. - Win 10 / Everything patched, latest update / no mods / does not affect everyone on the server.

Ok, this happened to me today as well. Relogging multiple times didn’t fix it, so thank you for help, Equipping a bow works.
Maybe someone can fix this nonsense, equipping a bow for fixing a bug…
I have had this happen to me soooooo many times in the last week. I usually fix this by equipping a single piece of food in each slot and then dying. Usually everything works again after that. I will try the bow fix though because that would be soooooo much simpler! Thanks for posting it!
Just encountered this bug. I was able to fix one part of it by equipping a bow. However now I can not put anything in slot 1 and 4. and one of my bows disappeared. This bug appeared after I create an exceptional War Axe and then upgraded it in my quick bar.

I died and after that the bow returned and the quick bar slots are usable again lol!
