I have to say… I disagree with the criticism of the visuals… but “cataract toilet water” is certainly a top 10 post topic. Kudos.
Getting called stupid by someone who drinks toilet water smh.
I don’t think OP ever flushes his toilet. I’m kinda concerned about the fact his toilet water isn’t clear
There has been some weird fog occasionally, but in my opinion it isn’t there all the time…
EDIT: actually, maybe it is.
Well the Shattered Springs have always been foggy. That’s an environmental thing. Try posting a screenshot from a non-foggy area
Game looks great on cinematic at 4k resolution with max draw distance. Complaint is that most of the time a fog blanket is there to obscure distant objects, or function like film grain for nearer ones. I can appreciate it sometimes as part of weather variation. I just wish it wasnt so often. Between the storm, and the frequent fog blankets it feels like its too often. Some areas are always foggy, thats fine too. Just, not so much so often.
It is possible on PC to turn off the fog. This is how I play, and I’ve asked for this before, but it would be great to have a “slider” value for it.
From someone with vision issues, cataract toilet water seemed perfect. My babysitter in Ohio, long before city water was connected to her home, had a cistern for non-critical uses. For instance, her back bathroom “commode.” The water was customarily cloudy, and if shut up, the room was usually stinky because of it.
Before 2.4 we had the confusion between consoles and pc players! Now even the ps4 and ps5 players see different things in the game, so the confusion is bigger! On ps4 performance mode, before the update Siptah was too dark but exile lands was normal. Now exile lands is too dark too at nights and the range of the torch is smaller. Ofcurce there was a great difference in the biome and the weather condition too, but now even in a clear sky it’s darker no matter the biome! About the brown sky that op wants to focus, I can’t say, haven’t seen these colors in my skies on game, so no comments!
I approve of this message and I knew immediately what the OP meant. I’ve hated the fog since they started it. It really adds a lot of ugly to the game.
I live on a lake in North Idaho. Most of the year it is incredibly beautiful with it’s perfectly clear skies and air. In late summer, the wildfire smoke drifts in and we get a Conan haze over everything. I HATE it so much!
I will use some of the settings tips in this thread to remove it from the game. Thank you for those.
I agree with op. THe light with volumetric fog enabled does look like toilet water. :))
without volumetric fog it looks ok though.
The title reminded of this:
It’s a catchy title. It makes you curious. And even if you suffered through the whole thing, you feel lost.
Okay… title and… interesting descriptors aside… (Seriously, you couldn’t just say haze/fog, and post screen shots? The animosity and bitchiness in the beginning was necessary?).
I agree with the sudden overwhelming amount of haze/fog. Especially on Siptah. I didn’t notice it at first on EL, but when I hopped over to check out Siptah it was very obvious. It’s everywhere unless you’re inland on the main island.
If he had said haze/fog, I wouldn’t have noticed the thread. Get this guy a marketing degree.
Okay you have a point.
Also, for everyone:
Settings, Video, Second Checkbox for Volumetric Fog. You’re welcome.
I like my pyss myst
My nights are still pretty damn dark. Definitely darker than my toilet water.
