Since the latest update, any chest placed on a shelf falls to the ground whenever a nearby building piece is placed. The shelves remain intact, but the chests are dropped as if they lost support. This behavior did not occur before the update and appears to have been introduced by the latest patch.
PS: yeah yeah i know about the ticket, they dont @#@# answer the tickets…
@Dana Can u please help? some people lost alot of items and resources…
Chest on shelves has been on and off for the entire time I been here. I just avoid the practice and don’t keep up if it’s allowed or not . I don’t believe it’s a legit condoned “creative play” practice so it’s probably considered an exploit that doesn’t affect others.
If u have chests on shelves, don’t build close to it and don’t pull your body from your circle of power, it will break and drop everything on the floor and it’s going to disappear really fast… there won’t be anywhere near enough time to grab everything!
You’re simply placing a chest on a shelf using the normal building system. There’s no glitching through walls, no clipping, no unintended advantage over other players. If it was an exploit, why has it worked for so long?
From my perspective, this is just a normal decoration/storage setup that the latest update appears to have broken… not only for me…
This bug exists for years, we lost tons of stuff by placing crates on shelves or on top of other objects like tables. Since then we place chests, containers etc… on foundations or ceilings only.
I sincerely hope there will be a server rollback as we just lost practically the entirety of our storage area. Armour, weapons, thralls, materials, the works.
“I beg you! Please restore it, I lost everything too, just because I wanted to build with high standards. It cannot be an excuse that everyone is required to place crates on a foundation…”
We had a few people on the server complaining about this bug too.
This needs fixing!
Some people lost a lot.
And people keep loosing stuff after updates - foundations bug is another one that comes to mind,
I understand but it’s a technique that was never designed for. It’s equivalent to fencing stacking which was originally viewed as a novel way to protect your base but somewhere around 2022 or so it was deemed exploitive. Maybe they changed their position again…the issue hasn’t as its still appears to be a rendering issue that the chest comes in first and the system doesn’t see the shelf for a bit and therefore losses stability.
I used to love having it up, nice and neat. But due to the instability of it with no real fix…I just stopped.
I wish there was a content provider (@Eradicati0n , @KiahonfireOfficial@Pixelcave ) that could post something about this because apparently people are reviewing ancient content and getting the idea it’s safe and not a lot of content warns of the issues.
Meu amigo, não sei se confio em deixar sequer em fundação mais… estou colocando os meus baús direto no chão em um “buraco” no meio da base, triste ter que fazer tudo feio só pra não perder as coisas, porque eu jogo em PvE-C…
