Murdered the village twice over… each time starting to record a video to capture the first encounter with this event… each time a fail cuz nothing happened haha…
Do I have to say some magic password? 
or is the event outside of the settlement? I rode around on the horse a bit but nothing happened anywhere. Found a “show off” emote thou
That is so weird, the 2 times I have been there, the village was empty and soon after the event started with the surge cloud above, gonna go there and try to see again… 
Yea it is… I still couldn’t get it to trigger ever since… killed the village like 4 times over
Took me less than 10 seconds before it started after I got there
Maybe a mod is preventing you from seeing it?
I thought of that too… so I copied my database to single-player and disabled all the mods one by one

Idk, it’s just weird, before the small update a week ago Grave Matters was triggering every single time I went there for example, now it’s doing the same thing as this and just refuses to start.
I even wondered whether it’s by any chance linked into maelstorm settings… but even those are enabled as normal since I left them as default in the config despite not being a siptah map
Who knows… maybe it’s related to the amount of people online on the server

See? here’s my “first attempt” I went there on my real character on the server, I’m the only one online atm. I was hoping to catch my first encounter with this event on camera to see if me and the thrall can easily handle it… I’m even on a farming build here 
I set up a bedroll… I showed off all the flimsy equipment we’re using and the thrall’s salted pork and everything… only for nothing to actually happen… lol
I got really confused since I haven’t seen the event yet I wasn’t sure whether it’s supposed to happen in the settlement… so I go and check the surrounding area too… but nothing happens
Yeah not sure, maybe it gets triggered by amount of online people… dunno
Anyways I finally managed to kill all Migo’s(+20 of them), destroyed all eggs and other storm monsters spawning, the final boss was a 3-skull Migo with roughly 4500 hp, however he hit very hard and his shockwave reach even further than normal Migo’s, but down he went too
In my opinion the way harder event than the one at bridge of betrayer, but still exciting

The events aren’t always active in the same places. One event is running at a time, with a new one starting once the old one is completed. Check elsewhere on the map for other possible events
Well that sucks, events shouldn’t self-activate in that case as it’s impossible to get them on low population servers… if you have 1 player online and they go to a specific event location, that event should start no matter what.
It doesn’t make much sense to have an active event somewhere else on the map locking all other events when nobody is even there
Ugh…so to get anywhere with any of the other events, I got to clear the bridge…again. I swear it’s always at the bridge…every single time. I got the snake brute twice and 3 grave events…I lost count how many times I put down Cthulhu junior.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. It just means it’s in another area, go explore to find it.
I came to that conclusion based on observation @Jimbo… I spent 4 hours trying to get an event… and yes I did go to other places and sometimes I did get another event (the one in the North seems reliable for some reason).
However I find it utterly unreasonable to expect the player to run across the map 20 times to each location when they’re in single-player for example… as such I’m reporting this as a bug
It’s not a bug. It’s meant for servers to have different people encounter it, and for singleplayer to be a random chance thing. It also only triggers if a player is in the area, so if you can’t find it in singleplayer, retrace your steps.

So first of all @JohnnyWylder I hereby present you a small apology. While I still think thralls are fine and even overpowered, and we did fix a number of things in your setup during this thread, I can totally see how you managed to murder a few there
Why? Cuz I finally managed to get the event to trigger just when I was about to give up… and I did the same thing lol.
To be fair I never done this and didn’t know what I was getting into. It was going fine right until I tried @Taemien 's bodypulling technique and got the whole group of like 5? plus a 6th spawn… then the boss spawned on us?
Now I could’ve shut up about this and wait till I get a proper video since now I know what to expect lol.

Just watched it through.
You had some excellent form in the first half, however it might have been advantageous to switch to the katana when there was more than two on you at once. It’s your crowd control weapon, whereas the drawback of shortswords is the single target nature of it’s combos.
A few cursory things I noticed as well;
First off, 0 authority means your follower has no boosts whatsoever.
I would recommend lightening what you carry with you into battle, as even on max expertise you had yellow for encumbrance, which slows your stamina regen by a noticeable amount.
Carry some food for yourself in your hotbar, salted exquisite meat improves your agility damage output by 15%, stacking with the potion. It’ll also provide you sated, which could have saved your life when you were kiting with the shield up.
Lastly, pork is the worst possible food you could have fed your thrall. It gives him a slight increase to his damage output sure, but even gruel is six times more effective at healing.
I don’t mean to be overly critical, but these are just a few pointers to help in the future. I’d love to see a rematch one day

Yea, I was obviously unprepared as I didn’t know the event went there on my farming build and since it took me hours to trigger the event I had like 6 bearer packs on me from farming the village previously…
Also I normally have just Gruel on them, to be fair I never bothered with anything else for thralls, I gave them some pork occasionally for the buff, but seeing as we’ve been discussing food here a lot, I went to the wiki and sorted them based on healing where pork was way above gruel (obviously that’s outdated then) and since I live next to a bunch of boar spawns he got pork
In any case now that I know what the event is like I’m certain that I can complete it fairly easy if I can trigger it again. Heck probably even this unprepared attempt would’ve succeeded if not for that big pull or if I had any idea the boss is soon to spawn, cuz like you said, we were doing pretty well till that point
It is definitely harder than the bridge event though mainly because it can go wrong with mass pulls
Oh! And through the power of server rollback resurrection since I was the only one online, Anders will be back to fight and die another day!

I have been using pork since forever. I did not know there was a healing difference, just that one gives a bonus percent for a possible health perk and one gives a bonus percent for a possible strength perk.
Yea I always just used gruel since they really didn’t need much, kinda ironic that the first time I try to go “fancy” with food he dies
