Co-op stability is wrong

Basic Info:

Platform: PlayStation 5
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Co-op / Single Player
Server Type: PvE
Map: Isle of Siptah
Server Name: N/A

Bug Description:

Default stability is not accurate on single player / co-op, despite leaving it default (NOT setting stability to be ignored in the Admin panel). This is problematic since I build offline to plan out my builds for my official server. Since 3.0, it has not matched up. Despite knowing the basics of stability loss, there have been a couple instances where both myself and clanmate must adjust our builds to accommodate for this bug. If it does not match up perfectly, it is a useless feature to be used in this regard (which I’m sure is one of its main purposes).

Bug Reproduction:

Start a new server. Leave “ignore stability” OFF. Build one pillar or foundation. Attach ceiling tiles to it and keep going without stability loss. If the pillar or foundation is removed, they WILL collapse.

This isn’t a bug, even if pieces ignore stability, they still have to be attached to a foundation or pillar that connects to the ground, you can’t make pieces float (not counting a certain exploit which still needs to be fixed).

The problem is that they remain at 100 stability. This is definitely wrong. The game has never worked like this before. Even if you need something to hold them, it should lessen by 20 with each tile away from the foundation or load bearing piece. As it is currently, that doesn’t happen and needs to be fixed to accurately reflect the stability. I shouldn’t be able to make a bridge spanning between islands with a single pillar on one side to hold it… on default stability.

Sorry, I misread this.

Stability is working fine for me on Steam platform. I’m guessing you messed with the settings in your single player (at some point) and it is acting funny now. I haven’t heard anyone else experiencing this though. Have you tried restoring all your settings back to default to see if it fixes the problem for you (maybe even reinstalling)?

Would love to, but I got builds I’m using for reference. Regardless, I don’t think any settings should interfere with this. I think the only settings I messed with were crafting speeds and difficulty boosts. I also run in god mode with no cost on materials.

Are you by chance going into creative mode also  @jmk1999

Nope… it doesn’t save anything as far as I understand it from its description.

At last I have been suffering the same problem spent hours upon hours building a base changed stability setting to low so I could be creative and now for the 4th time the whole base has vanished again.I am also playing single player mode heres some pictures of my floating chests and carpets and thralls

Can you save to a thumb drive before logging off? I don’t play offline but you may be able to reload from there
