Companions for each God since Zath gives a temporary spider

Derketo - Summons a female disciple

Set - Summons cobra

Mitra - Terracotta Sentinel

Ymir - Frost Thrall or Heirs of the north

Yog - Savage Darfari

Otherwise I just like Zath due to me sitting back and letting my spider ravage small camps

I much rather have viable hallowed weapons from the alters instead.

@stelagel I mean crom doesn’t do anything you can have a rude statue of a middle finger or an apple tree with golden apples and as for jhebbal I imagine a werewolf to be too powerful?

@Ragnaguard A scary snow man sure xD

@Marcospt I think all light armourer need a little more love, I basically almost got whacked by some berserker was like an inch from dead after like 2 swings not to mention that unblockable overhead strike they do

I want to be able to invoke Crom and get struck down by a lightning bolt.

Even better

Conan would be a possible Crom follower.

As mentioned before, he’d show up, help you in combat, but then ridicule you for needing his help. Male PCs get the “shame” debuff, reducing their damage by 50% for 24 h. Female PCs loose their armor and get teleported to Conan’s bar.

I think a skeleton would be more her style.

Mitra’s symbology, though not very prominent in the game, includes a phoenix. Probably a better summon than a minimitra statue.

I think a frost giant is the only logical summon for the frost giant god.

Y’ai’ng’ngah, Yog-Sothoth h’ee-l’geb f’ai throdog uaaah.
Yog resurrects the dead. Should summon a zombie.

As the god of beasts, Jhebbal Sag could send any animal, really. But he prefers to manifest at night and is said to have glowing yellow eyes, so I think a panther would suit him best.

Crom would never send you a companion, he gives you the courage to fight. Crom would want you to depend on your own strength and fight without help.

Sorcery will grant your wish…
One way or another :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Interesting concept. As Zath grants a min-version of himself, why not all of the altars?

Set: Snake
JebbalSag: Owlbear
Yog: Shoggoth
Derketo: Tavern Wench Suicide Bomber
Ymir: Frost Midget
Mitra: Peter Dinklage

Funny, I like Set because of the poison arrows, and Mitra because of the statues of guidance and refreshment, and Yog because of the food that doesn’t decay, and Derketo because of the acolyte “robes”, and Jhebbal Sag because of the night eye potion, and Ymir because of berserker draught.

I like that Funcom didn’t balance religions by making them all the same, but rather give them unique differences.

What I’d love to see is a revamping of religion system to make religions more useful and fun, both in PVE and PVP.

Some of these suggestions seem fine, but I think some of them are basically like thralls really and you’d want something “special” right? Like unique or something? That being said the Zath one is just a spider so…

I mean I avoided the frost giant and phoenix because I figured they would be OP although the skeleton sounds too weak so I dunno

Maybe so but does well when not outnumbered 5 to 1

They can be balanced. If a frost giant is too strong, it could cost more to craft his orbs and he could die after only 45 seconds instead of 60.

Phoenixes don’t exist in the game yet, so they could be given any stats. It could be a very small phoenix, like the size of a vulture, and only have one attack - self-immolation, that causes it to burst into a ball of fire like an exploding arrow and vanish, leaving only a puddle of fire behind.

Zath is the god of spiders, and gives you a spider. It makes sense. It’s not a “mini-zath”, it’s a spider.

This is exactly the reason on every new character I create, even in Siptah that obtaining a religion is hard or expensive, I choose Crom!!!
All the ancient civilizations had polytheism, including mine (Ahaia).
I know nothing about lore, hopefully there are a lot of lore masters here that apply generous their knowledge and I am extremely grateful for it, thank you all once again :+1:t6:.
Yet, after all these years I happen to disagree to a most used expression about Crom!

Crom does not care

Actually he is the only one that really cares!!!
He appears to the mans weakest time, to grand his blessings for a strong life to each child!!!
He asks for nothing, he needs nothing in return!!!
All he cares is for every soul to have equal chance of surviving in this world!!!
If the human made it or not it is not his business anymore, because this would made him unfair to all the others.
So Crom, for me, if Gods existed, is the ONLY God that people (fictional ofcurce) must respect!
He is the best God!
