Companions for each God since Zath gives a temporary spider

For those of you who wish to see a companion of Crom join you I have great news, you need only look to the ground at your feet.

Find the nearest pebble, yell at it to attack your enemy, and then watch as it does absolutely nothing whatsoever as you are then mercilessly beaten by your foe.

Congratulations, you have experienced the loving support that is Crom.

In Greece the Saint of the seas and beloved by the sailors is Saint Nickolas. So once a ship started sinking and a sailor started praying to Saint Nickolas to help him, after some hour he appeared and he said, hey, I will help you but you should start swimming too!
People, fiction or reality, use religion for 2 reasons.

  1. When they feel weak and address to a higher power to help them.
  2. The people who take advantage of these peoples weak momment and gain tremendous power by representing a religion.
    I know I sound cynical and I probably shouldn’t share this opinion here, yet

    You cannot expect anything but you can wish for everything.
    Don’t let your wishes weaken you, go for them alone, because alone you come, alone you leave.

To be fair it sets Zath apart. The others all have something useful. Poison Arrows. Better armor. Healing items fountains. Respec potions.

Really it is the only thing Zath has.

Otherwise there is little reason to take him when the spider is mediocre at best.

Not really.

There are Zathite Bags that can get you insane numbers of bones and skulls, a little blood and hide, and pretty decent quantities of ichor.

The Zathite Spear is also one of the only religious weapons that could actually be considered good. The only other one being The Tenderizer.

I follow.

But each is unique in its own way. This is Zath’s special item. I realize that you can get Zath bags of course. But again, the others also have things that he does not have.

Should Zath, Set, and the others get fountains?

I am just saying each has its own unique flavor.

I mean you are not limited to one religion in this game. If you were (Which I would like) I could see the want. It would make them even more special.

But they are a Pokemon. You can catch all the gods.

I also like them being different. Also I agree on the lures
