Absolutely the worst. I have made excuses and turned a blind eye for 6 or 7 years or more now. This game is in no better shape than it was when I started playing all that time ago. In fact I think it has more bugs and glitches and more critical ones than it did then.
They claim to be in the “age of bug fixes” or whatever but their last 3 patches have broken more than they fixed so they are right on par with the last 7 years of being completely incompetent.
I’m just done with Funcom. Absolutely done.

Good news my friend – Steam has repositories where you can find literally ANY version of a game and play it.
Want to play version 2.8 (just before Ages came in and ruined the game)? It’s there.
Want the launch day version? It’s there too, bro.
For me and a group of hardcore Conan fans, this is the only way to enjoy the game now.
I appreciate your thoughts but I am aware of the ability to play previous versions.
I don’t have a problem with the current direction of the game, just the bugs of old that are never fixed, and the new bugs that are caused by slipshod thinking when it comes to the testing of new material (eg, whoops that isn’t right, never mind we’ll fix it later). The problem is the bugs are never fixed.
Production appears to takes precedence over quality. I am so relieved that Funcom don’t make automobile tyres.
“Hey Funcom my tyres keep going flat”. Funcom reply “Never mind we’ll fix it sometime at an undisclosed time in the future. In the mean-time just keep driving around with flat tyres. We are working on it, thank you for your patience”.
And to your reference of previous game versions, no matter what version you play there are always going to be bugs (which are then fixed in a later version, which then introduces new bugs).

Been saying this for over a year now.
But Funcom ignores it.
Sad, I once loved this game even with all the existing over time.
Conan was good before Age of War hit.

“repairs” aren’t coming along either. Last big patch was in mid March. 2 month now without major fixes.
I’m not counting the “hot fix” that followed a month after the last patch.
total focus on Dune, I guess.

Guys come on. You know I’m not happy with the state of the game (or many of the decisions over recent years), but I don’t think it’s time yet to say the repairs aren’t happening. Every update for the past couple of years has been on a six month schedule (and before that it was three months) - they made a bunch of fixes two months ago (not the ones I wanted, but still a bunch of fixes). The next big fix update isn’t due yet - if they don’t put out another bunch of fixes in September, then I’ll agree with you that they were lying - but so far they’ve done what they said they would.

Yes, 3 month seems reasonable, but 1 month for a “hot fix” to fix the things broken by the last fix is mind bogling.
Taking a week from anouncing switching off living settlements to actually switching it off is simply negligence.
All I’m saying is, that if that producer letter simply said, that at the moment DUNE took precedence and there would be no significant patch until DUNE shipped, I’d say: “Sad, but I understand.”
Edit: A mod kit update came online…in the past these preceded a general patch.

people has asked for clear roadmaps, have they given some? NO.
there was a producer letter offering stuff. and its simply not coming.
the fixes that came in the last hotfix was a joke.
the other although it had important fixes, they simply ignored the most important ones, without any information on how are with some of those issues.. nothing. its like the issue does not exist.
they even have community members do the job of putting all the issues in one place, eazsy to track. (something that was suppsoed to be done by the support and community managers) they didint…
FACT: the only thing they care about is DUNE, CE is currently pretty much ABANDONED…
i bet you they dont have more than 1 or 2 devs working on the game, if any . we lost even our community managers, they pop in here not very often (try seeking a chat on dune you will see how fast they interact with the community…
the whole thing is what they are doing is going to byte them back. and they will feel $$$ loss with dune because of how they are handling CE.
the least they could do is BE HONEST ABOUT IT…

the letter was their to send a massege out they want to fix the game and have tryed and come out with more hotfixs and patch notes than before and the letter did not say it will offer you stuff
how can it be abandone when they still working on it patch notes and updates with fixes is still prof they did not give up but trying to fix the game instead of abandone it

still you cannot deny they are trying becuse their have being alot of hotfixs and patches to the game and they allready set the content on pause since the letter came out and go out and say it abandone means no patch notes no hotfixes,

such low standards you have.., apologies if i expect more., i am NOT a conformist, what i am seeing is far less work on CE than it used to be..
one small to mediun size patch .. that took months to cook and a tiny (yes tiny) hotfix… and you call that active development?
where is the communication? probably with DUNE…

yes the game feels pretty much abandoned. hacks going crazy, (nothing has been done on that) performance issues with official servers,
but hey … you have sound in the dregs. congrats!!!

i dont have low standards for CE and beside that will YOU DENY their not have hotfixes and pacth notes it still
yes i will call this more active development becuse we have not seing so mnay updates in so short amount of time in many years right now, so what do you want
