People have a warped sense of time. A month is a long ass time.
3 Months is even longer. You just THINK that you will stop playing if your base is wiped. You won’t.
And wipes are fun because everyone starts on equal footing, and everyone is eager to start from scratch on day 1, which means full servers and player interaction.
People think that the devs should be slaves to what the players want. That’s nice but players don’t always know what is best for the game.
It is why the DM in D&D sometimes will do things you don’t like.
