Ok people, I did some serious testing and troubleshooting this weekend. So here is what I know. I lose connection only fighting bosses on 2 servers (both in chicago). I ran a trace route and I am within 10 hops of the server with no issues. I also ran a Ping test with tail while playing and causing the crash, and my test showed I never once had any disconnect or ping drop in any way. So, its not internet related in any way (not on players side anyways).
After digging through log files on another thread, they showed nothing, not a single reason for the disconnect. So this brings me to my last test:
I have a Dell poweredge host here running esxi so I threw up a Conan Exiles server running 8 core, 16 gb mem and did some testing.
Well, not a single glitch, hiccup, disconnect or anything. My game runs smoother than it ever has on any official server. I mean, not an ounce of lag.
Since its running anyways, Ill leave the server up and running. The only settings that are boosted is the harvest is 5x. Feel free to join it and test yourselves, it is open to the public. =MGC= Community Server1 is the name. Join it, try it and post up your results. If we can narrow this to a Gportal issue, we may be able to resolve. I dont know about the rest of you, but the game is unplayable until they address it.
This seems to happen to me only after starting any combat. But still at random intervals. My server likes to team up on bosses like the White Tiger and I have watched others disconnect during combat. My internet connection is on Fiber Optic. I had a hard time believing it was my connection. I downloaded connection monitoring software. Not a single hiccup in a weeks worth of monitoring.
Today I received connection lost 6 times on official. Mostly in combat, or near npc camps.
But it getting really frustrating that still so unstable the game after weeks on official servers.
Guys, this is really embarrassing. I wish we could have the pre sorcery gameā¦
I can definitely confirm that when you donāt have a thrall attacking or following you, the Lost Connection is nowhere near as bad. It still happens, but far less when you just run around and kill stuff on your own
Definitely not a solution, but hopefully it can help point them in the right direction, as this bug is getting to be so incredibly annoying!
I get zero issues on the private server I put up and Ive been putting in some time there. I think it is more on Gportal side, most likely not enough resource allocation to the server or too many servers on one host. If it was a game issue, it would be happening on private servers as well, since the code is the same.
This happens to me a lot. I play in EU and everything is fine until around midnight. Then I am starting to have severe problems. I get disconnected between 3-5 times an hour after midnight. Sometimes it says I was kicked by the anti-cheat protection, sometimes it says lag or high ping, other times no reason.
It is very frustrating. To me it feel like it happens when I interact with enemies. Usually only happens then.
not sure if the Patch yesterday addressed any of the issues, but I did find that I did not get kicked once when fighting the Wightās last night. I did immediately get kicked fighting Rotbranch though, and Iām sure the Purge will still be horrible. I should get one this weekend, so Iām a little worried
Got today disconnected a couple times while chopping up bosses at pools on siptah.
The most dc happened while fighting Spider of Leng. 4 times during that single fight. And very often i dc when Yakith jump into my faceā¦
Itās for sure not fixed with latest patch.
Today has been worst for me on siptah ANY fight I engage in thralls fighting I step back and not touching controller button/trigger and bam lost connection 5 - 10 times during fight cleared camp went to another camp and same thing lost connection several times during fight only thing saved me was thralls killed all before I got back in.
I definatly needs to be looked into normally my DCs happened with world boss fights now its any fight.
I got DCed at least 40 times within 30 min period.
Yesterday was randomly better for me, but today has so far been back to the same old crap. Went to fight the Wightās with a lower level Greater Wolf, got kicked and kept getting kicked over and over, luckily he was at 408 health when I finally got back in and defeated the last Wight. Already lost too many thralls to this issue
Was assisting a buddy during a purge on an official PvE server and we all started getting d/c. then the d/c were so frequent that we could not even get into the game. I stopped trying at the 25th d/c in a row. Now, as Iām writing this, I lost my two thralls and canāt even get into the game as Iām immediately get d/c.
Crashed a few times in a row this evening on siptah, Playstation PvE official. Thereās a MASSIVE spammy base next to the elephant spawns and I couldnāt even finish trying to kill them before I decided to give up after miraculously managing to grab my horse and thrall and run. I almost thought Iād be stuck there and die to the elephants while offline. I was quietly saying goodbye to all my legendary and irreplaceable equipment.

I am still disconnecting on 1522. Please fix this issue because it is making this game quite hard to play. I am frankly getting bored reconnecting and finding it not very entertaining to play.
this happens to many.PC. there are 4 disconnections in a row at once. AND THIS HAPPENS PRECISELY DURING THE BATTLE WITH THE NPC. when you build something, you just travel around the world. Itās all good. BUT AS SOON AS YOU START HITTING SOMEONE. => YOU ARE DISCONNECTING FROM THE SERVER. DEVELOPERS EITHER DONāT HEAR US. OR THEY DONāT WANT TO HEAR US. . THIS HAPPENS ANYWHERE ON THE MAP. IF YOU ATTACKED SOMEONE. THIS PROBLEM!!
