Received an email this morning notifying me that my false ban had been lifted. No word about the crom coins I’ve lost however.
More importantly, everytime I have tried to log in since the ban was lifted I am greeted by “Authentication Failure”
I have restarted my steam, killed the processes, reopened steam, verifyed files and still this issue persists.
There’s no issue with loading into Singleplayer, but I cannot get into any online server, let alone my main server.
Update 2: I got unbanned, received Croms, and managed to buy from the store, but I’m still having issues with Online mode. When I try to connect, I get the message: (AUTHENTICATION FAILED) and I can’t join any servers… what a hell.
Use Paypal. If you have problems, report. They take it from there. Fortunately, Funcom always solved the hicups that I had in a timely fashion, so I never had to complain.
I have been communicating with Support on this. I wanted to be certain that it was not a local issue so I attempted to connect using a new Steam account with the game family shared. That account could connect to any server with no issue. Same computer, same connection.
I told support this twice but got a reply that it seemed to be a network issue lmfao.
It is reassuring that I am not the only one but it feels like it’s not being taken as a priority.
I fear the support person does not have any other methods provided. This definitely should be escalated, and investigated. Maybe we are not banned on normal level, perhaps its some other blocker… but clearly we cant get in, and Ifra’s experiment proofs it aint on our end.
Same thing here. Endless back and forth with customer service with no solution. Now it has been escalated to the devs, and it’s now weekend.
Now I understand not making people work overtime for what is after all a game, not a critical service, but that doesn’t change the fact that Funcom is now leaving their paying customers out in the cold for another two days.
Let’s be clear, we are the people who are still giving Funcom money for Conan Exiles, and this is the thanks we’re getting. I’m already invested in this game and if I stop playing now, I only punish myself, not Funcom. But the bazaar is optional and the way this is going, I think I will avoid that from now on.
While it would be lovely if we could be fixed over the weekend, I fear it will go to next week like you said. I just checked the status, and the same error message still…
Its really annoying, especially as it seems to me dragging this to weekend could have been avoided based on information we have. It just doesn’t feel good how slow this is addressed.
So I think best thing to do now is keep noise up here in polite and constructive way. I do wonder what is the volume affected by this as not everyone is posting.
I did one stupid experiment, I bought a small item that I wanted anyway from store in single-player. Seems to work, but does not fix the problem unfortunately. Just letting you guys know for awareness.
same here, been trying to load for 3 days, logged into my friends account on my pc was able to load in as she wasnt banned like me, however when she tried logging me in on hers it wasnt working either, spent all day yesterday trying to get in, yet still nothing, put in a ticket and they said it was a connection issue
I think we should refer to this thread if we get anymore nonsense answers from the support. Quite a few people in the same situation. Its a bit sad that they actually are teaching us to be cautious of buying stuff from Bazaar as resolving this issue been so convoluted.
Someone pointed out to me that this is a long weekend in the US, and I don’t know where Support or Development is located but potentially no-one will be looking at this until Tuesday
It feels entirely unreasonable and unacceptable that they did not commit to solving this when they were given very early indicators that this was happening. But what can we do?
I don’t want to be ‘that guy’ but it feels like once their big cash cow was fixed (the Bazaar), the stragglers can be fixed whenever they get to it.
This sucks. Lmao.
ETA: Combined with my attempt to connect using a Steam account with CE family shared, Elken’s experiment with switching logins with their friend definitively proves what we all already know: This is NOT anything caused by us, connection/network issues or anything else we have done except spend our grown-up money on this game.
