I am curious on percentages (not actual population numbers) - which I know can be a moving target due ups and downs of player base. So just a general concept of the past month for example. I also know, some will play in multiple categories listed so its not a clean percentage. (Since I play both on Official and Private weekly for example).
Percentage of players who play on PvP servers versus PvE servers and maybe versus PvE-C servers. (Assuming you can give private servers, if not just Official servers would be fine).
Percentage of players who play on Official servers versus Private versus Single Player (not sure SP is trackable)
Percentage of players who play on Consoles versus PC.

I would mind if those number went public as long as they didn’t weigh away content from less represented game modes or platforms in fact I would hope that more resource be sent the unrepresented’s way.
I don’t know what this has to do with the request though. Funcom have those numbers already, I am sure they are reviewed regularly. It will be interesting for the rest of us to see them. As for resources sent to the unrepresented way, not sure if this is a good strategy. It might be beneficial to accept that your game is more popular among certain groups and focus on attracting more of those players, especially for older titles. This will be much easier than alienating the majority in the hopes that whatever you are doing will be good enough for the minority.
I see nothing beneficial that will come from this data. The game has a pve style and a pvp style. Both need to be taken into consideration because exploits on one can be abused on the other.

Outside of odd curiosity, this data will serve none of us at all. At best, we use this information to glean where FC hedges it’s bets on the future. At worst, we Lord our statuses of favorite children over others creating more division.
According to several websites that track that data, its about 150-250k total playing still.

I am also curious about this information, but I agree with @erjoh that it would most likely only be used for “forum PVP” and accusations of greed/incompetence/malice against Funcom.
They have been threatening to leave for…since I have been playing. If they go, then there will be a fresh amount to take their place not set into the bias of old.
Oh I’m curious but there really isn’t anything I would use the data on…sort of a trivia knowledge thing but I can easily see it going south with discussions here with that type of data available.
If they do provide it, I also want to know how each grouping does in revenue support towards the company but do it in a way that doesn’t reveal true $ but with comparative %… IE 6000 players are PVP while 4000 are PVE but PVE outspend PVP by 2:1.
Tbh I don’t except anything answered when it comes to pvp in general. Pve probably has more players and more players that spend money on game content.
Pvpers spend more because we need to have at least 3 accounts to: (i know people who have 15 accounts for example).

And they only have a few DLC selling, which pvpers will have at least 1 account with all of them.
And for pvp we normally need at least the original game + siptah.
