Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker and Bandit Leader seem to bug out at the same rate, but BL seem a little more aggressive (but I’m not sure), seems like he’s faster to run in and attack.
When they bug out, I’ve been able to make them work by taking their weapon, go in a fight, so they do unarmed and then give them a weapon during the fight, then they will keep hitting. But I’m not promising anything.
Just got Daicas The Sharp and Kisthis Fleshtearer, will check how they compare soon.
I wonder, If after switching weapon types, does it seem to correct itself if you place them and then leave rendering distance and return?
I ask, because on a programming level, it may be how it loads the assets. If i “approach” my thralls, then their entire data file is loaded, armor, weapon, and attack ai. If the ai loads based on weapon that is “armed”, then switching types would cause a problem. My though is, if you leave then come back, it has to reload with the new weapon type.
NPC’s won’t have this problem, as they always load the defaults, which are matched. But captured thralls would have manually adjusted types and the such. Which may also explain how fighters and bearers are (were?) better with arrows. It was loading ai and data for bows when you rendered them in.
I’m on Xbox, and Dalinsia uses a 50/50 fair I of light and heavy, in padded silent legion armor.
Some occasions, she’ll back up from a fight, but usually if I kite the boss back towards her, she’ll re-engage.
Red mother usually slaps her into the dirt, and she proceeds to slap her belly, takes 5mins of her solo fighting to kill her.
Been farming undead city since a week before warmaker patch and she’s been co-pilot the entire time.
As a side note, I cheated on solo player mode by running the dungeon at 1.1 npc damage output increase with daicas, ad blade, padded silent legion. He managed two fights back 2 back before he was slain by war maker.
So meaning Dalinsia should just barely make it through.
In my experience on an official server, reloading the game or taking a map room to somewhere else and back (to get far out of render distance) makes no difference when they bug out. I think it’s because they are tied to the server and whether they are loaded in your system doesn’t matter.
What about giving a medium armour or a light armour to your thral ? All those “bugged” thralls have in common is an heavy armour. Curiously after I gave a medium armour to my T4 bearer she becomes a lot more reliable. While when she was in an heavy armour she was very unreliable, sometimes completely passive watching me getting badly beaten, sometimes turning in a murder hobbo agroing everything in sight.
Now she’s always a psycho-killer !
I still think it has more to do with AI bugging out because often they work fine all morning (when the server has recently been reset and few people are online) and often they bug a lot in the evening (when it’s been longer since reset and more people are online)… I don’t take notes or anything, so maybe it’s just what I feel
Mine seem to work fine the majority of the time if I just give them a two-handed hammer and never change it, like don’t even put another weapon in their inventory at all. Then I just have to let myself take a hit. Once I have been hit once, they get super aggressive.
