I too find it easy to solo things when I am with a group.

I’ve died a dozen times there alone from a misstep in combat. But at this point, I have spare keys to retrieve my own body. I’ll admit there’s a second of frustration in the death, and possibility my corpse glitches out.

But that’s already occurred 100 times since alpha.

It’s just not that big of a deal.:trophy:

Side bar: Can relic thralls still be tamed?

Yes. They can be. Its just bandits

So here is something I have noticed that works.

If I give a thrall a 2 hander after switching from a one hander weapon it glitches.

If I log out and back in the thrall seems to reset. Its not convenient but it works.

Another thing that works is adding a bow. Once you swap their weapons. The bow seems to override the issue. So they will shoot with the bow pretty accurately and then take out the 2 hander or whatever weapon they require.

Not too many say it is hard in a group. The solo players who don;t use/have a thrall it is hard. Your are running the meta on it. IT is just another farm run at that point.

Wo you are running a 40 agility build?

People who uses heavy armor   So, not that many…

He says roll, so i am just making sure i didn’t miss something in the patch with heavy armor.

Something wrong with Nimble Tumbling through this dungeon? Like maybe it might be too easy?

No, was just verifying, because he said it was not hard as a solo, just duck and roll. 40 agility feels like it would make the dungeon harder, because you are losing wither 4th of vit or str, or possibly cutting back on your stamina (but since he is rolling, he would need that geared pretty high to accommodate the roll and the new anti heavy stamina drain added).

I actually used to rock a silent/40 agility using legendary shield and blade, no wear off tattoo as a defensive plan b on my heavy build way early on, before roll became the super meta.

Even if your Grit is low 10 miserable points in AGI makes all the difference in those little sprint bursts you need to perform to get out of range. Once I acquired Black Bruargh and a potion source, it’s two spare presses. Are you enjoying the attribute changes?

Secondarily I have found post-patch that trading aggro with my thrall is much easier for some reason. We can work a boss by basically tennis-balling them, whereas before the boss would “solely” focus on my thrall.

To clarify, i used whirlwind blades, in heavy armor mix in, you can backflip out of harms way.

I run
32 str
30 vit
20 grit
30 encum

Plus new fish food buffs, a stam potion and, and x5 alcohol buff

With misc war paint, usually support paint

Brute helm, flawless darfari chest/legs, epic hyperborian hands, war mammoth boots.

And 150 aloe soups.

I’m not claiming fame to world 1st on this dungeon for anything, but I ran solo to kill some time, it’s just a slow crawl not using a thrall as a crutch.

I would not say hard, regardless.

With 1000+ armor, 40 agi is ez now. Agi buffs r cheap

1000+ armor only affords 5-7% additional Damage Reduction over buffed Heavy Epics. Heavy Epic = 75-77% Damage Reduction, New Armors = 80-82% Damage Reduction. About 1/3 of a Sunder’s worth of armor.

Is it worth it to run the dungeon and accumulate scraps? Looking at your character build you have Pack Mule, so I’m guessing the scraps must be heavy. To me, therefore, the new armor looks to be much too risky and expensive in a PvP sphere. Unless the server is quiet or friendly, that extra 5% damage reduction will not be worth multiple risky trips for acquisition. To me this is an ideal example of how PvE can definitely benefit while PvP must work much harder with fewer rewards. :cake:

The scraps aren’t heavy, the dungeon is just stingy. With a T4 armorer, it’s 50 scraps for the Arena Champ set, 70 for the Godbreaker. You get about 20 per run, and you’ll also need them for repairs unless you’re using kits instead.

New Armor for me is a novelty that a thrall uses to stay alive through countless farms. Plus its all heat insulated for the tundra, not jungle or desert area.

Id say I pack mule, but have combat capability in case sht hits the fan.

It was a fun dungeon, but after a good day of farming, you can easily get 3 or 4 full sets and weapons.
