D3D Device lost error only appearing after update 1 month ago

I am posting here in a last ditch effort to see if anyone has resolved this issue. 2 months ago now, I upgraded my PC from intel/Nvidia to AMD. Now I have a ryzen 9 7950 x3d and a radeon 7900 xtx reference card. now I was able to play conan for roughly 17 hours before an update came through 1 month ago. now I can’t play without getting a D3D device lost error.

What have I tried? lowering my game settings, playing in windowed mode. disabling overlays. verifying game files, putting launch arguments to force directx11, fresh install, removing all workshop add ons. I even went into the registry to add an increase to the timeout TdrDelay to 10. I updated drivers, I updated windows… nothing seems to work. Now I am able to play other games just fine that run unreal engine, I know its not my hardware as I am able to play more intensive games for longer, and my temps never get above 72 C which is normal operating temps for the GPU, the GPU is not overclocked. So I know it is nothing to do with the hardware as everything tests fine, and stress tests perform normal. I have 64GB of DDR5 ram…

I am hoping this can either get acknowledged or fixed, as 1 month ago I bought the yamatai pack from Conan… and I have not even been able to use it… I play this game all the time with my wife, and since the update and all of my troubleshooting steps, I believe it is an issue with the most recent update. I have seen people with AMD reporting this issue as far as 5 years ago… but I wasn’t having those issues (like I said I could play for 1 month totalling about 16 or 17 hours… and then an update came out making the game literally not playable). How long does it take? about 2 seconds after I load in, GPU isn’t even at full temp yet, maybe 60 degress celcius as it hasn’t had time to even do anything, and boom D3D device lost error.

I have sent 2 emails to funcom about this, and have had 0 reply. as if I don’t exist.

edit: please do not tell me to change the clock and “underclock” my graphics card, I will not be messing with the clock speeds of my graphics card as 1: that voids warranty, and 2: that is not the problem. if the problem was the graphics card I would see issues in some of the other 10s of games I play. but I don’t… because this is not a hardware issue.
