@Dana what's going on with the consoles?

Most console players, including me, have made a decision about Conan’s move to UE5. However, we would have liked a minimum of respect for us and we were counting on you, Funcom, to maintain at least the game in UE4 and the official servers. To this day, you have completely abandoned us, the degradation of the buildings is still disabled, the character transfer is still disabled, the living bases have been forgotten… when will you get back to us to give us information? If Funcom wants to completely abandon console players, then a little franchise and let it be!!!

I doubt you will get much outside of being focused of the Enhanced corrections and now rollback which is understandable as I’m sure the instability of the enhanced is probably being pointed to as the reason steam numbers are dropping.

However I will point out hints of what I’m seeing.

  1. The support for consoles ue4 version is temporary. There is little advantage to run both versions. They will never say this but the ue4 game is on maintenance mode and that dooms game in a year typically.
  2. Dune has console launch established which means they are confident they can do a ue5 game onto the current gen.
  3. This latest Enhanced update has some focus on controller functions.
  4. They have repeatedly said the CE team is stretched.

All of these put together tells me that the fixes prior to full maintenance mode is a carrot and what they are trying to do is just jump consoles to ue5. There is literally no benefit to put resources in game updates that you have designated as maintenance mode. It would solely be a closure charity to us on console and not a business strategy. However the success of enhanced puts the innovation strategy back into revamping the console experience and it appears that they have solved the ue5 issues on consoles with Dune.

If I was an executive there, I would push for ue5 porting over ue4 corrections because it’s more of an investment.

The set back on this update is concerning and risks this strategy.

Hi

We all feel exactly the same way, and it’s time for some straight talk. We are among your most loyal players, yet you’re completely letting us down. There are no server transfers, and the servers are getting clogged up because the decay timer is disabled. Please, just talk to us instead of constantly putting us off! At the very least, fix these two issues and do something about the meshers!

nothing is going on with the consoles, it’s obsolete hardware that no developer wants to deal with unless their investors demand it.

It’s nice that the decay timer has been reactivated, but what about character transfers? We’d like an update and a clear statement on that. @dana

I would hope for at the least

Is to allow Conan exiles to run like ark

Where we can add mods.

At that point we can make whatever server we wanted, for those who run servers ofcourse.

Yeah how dare they do something that would add more people playing and purchasing. What weirdo company would want that?

Onde o decay foi reativado? Aqui segue inativo.
