Basic Info:
Platform: Xbox Series X
Issue Type: Other
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: #2504 PvE
Bug Description:
I died to hunger after logging off for the night.
Bug Reproduction:
I logged on today to find nothing on my person. I checked the event log from the night before and there was a 33 minute gap between my last in-game event and my character’s death, which occurred at 23:35:24 CST. The previous night, I logged off the server, completely shut down Conan Exiles, and shut down my Xbox, all before 11:15pm CST. My character was not dying of hunger when I logged off.
Yep. Your character is not removed from the world after you log off. You can die from heat, cold, thirst, starvation, the sandstorm and pretty much anything else that can kill you while you’re offline.
This is why people generally remove all their gear and store it before logging off.
You should do the same.
Not once have I EVER died to hunger or thirst while offline, even after being offline for multiple days. I will need more a more reliable source before I believe that’s a base functionality of the game.
If what you’re saying does end up being true, then that’s BS. I can understand enemy attacks and the sandstorm, but hunger/thirst? Not a good game mechanic.
It’s theoretically possible. Never happened to me personally but if your hunger/thirst meters are low enough and you’re not somewhere protected it’s possible.
I was in my house, at 100% shelter. So, no.
Yeah. Does sound pretty strange. The good news is you filed your bug report correctly.
