Died to "temperature changes" while offline?

I log in today naked and in the starting desert, when I logged out yesterday in my base.

According to the logs, I died this morning due to “temperature changes”?

My base has a roof, man. Totally enclosed.

I lost everything on me… including 1k gold and silver coins each. Not cool.

I’ve been playing for years. I have never died in my own base of “temperature changes”?

So, at any time, the game can decide to kill me while offline, and make me lose everything on me?

Seriously? Why would I continue to play and progress in the game when the game can just take it away from me when I log out?

Also, as I am back in my base, a croc comes in my closed door base and starting killing my horse.
Had to grab a sword and fight it naked so I didn’t lose my horse too.

WTF

And before anyone claims I died to a noob mistake, I am no noob.

Where were your furnaces in relation to your body when you logged out? I’ve noticed that the heat from furnaces is a lot more than what it was in legacy, so much so that I moved mine outside and pointed them away from the house. Perhaps the heat from your furnaces were the cause?

Was your base in Siptah ? It may be the bug in Siptah instead where if you log out while in there - you will be forced to the Desert and unable to select the Bedrolls/Bed when you log in

If that’s so, that would have been nice to know from the devs…
I was standing on the same area as the furnace… but not directly next to it.

Logged in today dead again to temp changes and lost all my stuff again.

That’s it, I’m done.

Not playing this broken game anymore.

on exiled land there are some anomaly places where temperatures raise uncontrolably, like on G8

If you do come back it may be prudent to log off naked. It’s been a constant since the beginning that something might kill you while you’re logged out.

I play PVP with a clan normally, we all have chests at our beds and before I log off I:

  • Remove all gear and hotbar stuff
  • Dump inventory into my chests
  • Never log off ON my bed because of other bugs

For added measure sometimes I pull bracelet and log off immediately, this takes you out of the world. You spawn at your bed/bedroll when logging back in.

All valid ideas… but I would rather just play a game where I don’t have to do things like this just to log out and not lose everything to a bug they refuse to address.

Plenty other games where they actually care about their customer’s time.

I can’t fault you for that.

I did take a few days off, and came back and started doing this.

I haven’t logged in to Deep Desert Naked (DDN) for a few days, so guessing it’s been fixed?

Or I’ve just been lucky lol
