Let’s say that I am working on one building within my base. I build foundations, walls, stairs and occasionally I have to dismantle let’s say a foundation.
Every now and then when I click the button to dismantle with my construction hammer in hand, then all of a sudden behind me or just randomly somewhere else in my base another foundation gets dismantled.
So as I am building my new building, I turn around and my “old base building” has holes and missing walls as foundations below them also have been disabled. This also leads to the fact that all work benches which were built on these ‘double dismantle’ foundations lose stability and with it also all its materials… very glitchy.
As if clicking the dismantle button sometimes dismantle not only the foundation i am targeting but also a random foundation in my vicinity.
I haven’t encountered this one, but that doesn’t mean much as it seems some bugs affect different people. Is this on official server, private server or singleplayer?
Have you also reported this to helpshift? That is the place where CEE bugs need to be reported so the devs can see the reports sooner. (Though, please also continue reporting here so the community can be aware of the possible issues.) Contact Us — Conan Exiles Help Center
No worries. But please do keep reporting here as well, it’s useful to all of us.
You being on Official is kinda what I was expecting - like Deacon says, I suspect it could be related to the lag problems - there seem to be a bunch of things that happen where the client and server get out of sync and it does something undesirable as a result.
in most cases i experienced it was during lag, so i go easy with the hammer, some times the sensivite of the mouse can cause some acidents, its commom to me to reduce mouse dpi when working on complicated areas and wait the piece i want to dismantle to highlight. Dont know if is my video but i think the highlithed pieces to dismantle are to much transparent now, it make things more dangerous.
I have also experienced this, seems to only happen to other things nearby but it’s usually not a piece beside what you are destroying, it’s something random behind you. Only seen it happen with foundations
Ok, so probably not the same then. I noticed pieces would be removed behind me when I would be actively building/removing with this method and only started with CEE. Might be similar but unrelated.
There’s plenty of youtube tutorials on it but basically the fence foundation can anchor on a foundation at the lip or a step(s) below. This can result in cascading and allows for unique building results.
I’m not sure if it’s related, but I’ll record it anyway. We found a similar error, though in the inventory: when moving an item from the inventory to the chest, or discarding an item onto the ground, the selected item was moved correctly, but another random item was also displaced along with it.
