The treasure chamber, gold items and the purposed purge revamp seem like good changes.
Everything else Im less excited about.

If those (and maybe PvE sieges) would be the only changes in this update, I would be more than contented. But some of the other changes make me uneasy to say at least…
Recently I heard some reports of people repairing their star-metal equipment with star-metal and shaped wood and max durability still went down (from 750 to 500). Is this a bug? I hope it is, your report gave me some hope that this change would not be that tragic, but now I’m starting to worry again.
This is from another bug, if you use a thrall to craft an item you get bonus durability. When you repair the item it only repairs it to what the durability would have been if no thrall crafted it. This is a bug because the durability can be fully restored by godbreaker boots or nemedian helmet meaning the repairing function has no idea what the true max durability is, only the max durability of the base default item.
Ok, I was hoping that would be the case. If you wouldn’t mind, I’d like to quote your note to those people who informed me about this. Thank you.
Sure, I submitted a bug report awhile ago with more detail and how I tested it. If they are having a different issue then they should probably submit another bug report.
Thank you. Hope still remains than.
Exaclty, not everyone is a sweaty hardcore player and it is rather sad that Elitists just want to ruin the game by getting rid of us casual players to make gaming “great” again and make excuses to justify their bias form of how they prefer to play the game is the “only” way to play it.

You can however repair the item on the crafting table, so it still gets the bonus, yes?

That would be quite cool tbh. When you maintain your equipment, you can repair it only to the level your character knows by default. If you want to repair it fully (including upgrades made by thrall), you have to repair it on a bench with said thrall (imagine him helping you with repairs). Cool concept imho.

I mean, I always repaired weapons on the bench until now…If it didnt give me stat bonus, it still gave me the material discount I thought?
The new system allows 40 repairs from kits for things you can’t craft. So you have to manage it. And you probably want it to be really worn down before you use the best repair kit you can.

Wait, what? I thought the unique and legendary items are unrepairable in AoW?
Still is. I thought that got changed. Well, still trash choice then.
And a new legendary repair kit for sword and armor will probably appear instantly on the workshop. I feel bad for the consoles. They are getting the shaft without any lube and all the splinters.

So did I, either on bench, or carrying bunch of same crafting stuff (metal bars, hides, leathers etc.) in inventory for emergency repairs. Wasn’t too inclined to use repair kits before and won’t definitely be now either, if I would risk to lose max durability. I prefer to carry heavier emergency materials if it means my equipment will not be permanetly damaged and sooner or later destroyed.
looks like they caved.
New hotfix is out. Patchnotes:
So basically, you only lose 2.5% max durability per repair. So that 3600 durability easy button legendary will last a long, long time.
If they caved, they did well. It was a very unpopular change.
We will see. I mean i played 29 hours on test, and literally ran out of things to do pve wise. i ran all dungeons, built a functional T3 base, map room 4 transporters and now have 10+ chests of “stuff”. And still have my 1st Legendary and bb tools with 100+ durability. So new age is really no change now, just easier.
This may ne the end for me. Downloading Diablo 4 today. For me, if i want hack and slash, it does it way better. With PvP now a novelty on Conan, no reason for me to stay on it.
Side note here is why repairing legendary with the new dmg is bad. I have a 3600 dur weapon. -1 per hit. It takes roughly at most 20 hits for most world Bosses. So that is 180 kills. 180 keys. 180 new legendaries. So if i only used itt on bosses, i would have 4 chests of unused legendaries. And that is without a repair.
