I am taking it the game engine will never be fixed at this point.
At least dx 9, with its lower performance works. More or less.
Totally a pipe dream but it would be nice to see the game working properly at 4k on modern hardware.
It does work on DX11 in 4K resolution for many people. You’ll have to be more specific in the way that it isn’t working for you, such as your symptoms and what video driver you’re using, so that we may better help you.
There are NVIDIA specific instabilities some may experience with certain NVIDIA video drivers more often while in DX11, but you can also potentially avoid those crashes by lowering Anti-Aliasing or SSAO a step to help. Those crashes, known simply as “NVIDIA crashes” are crashes straight to desktop with no error prompts or dialogue windows whatsoever. Luckily, not all NVIDIA drivers cause them.
DX11 doesn’t work on this game for most people, when they say they crash all the time its the first thing we tell them “Go dx9”
Nothing changes or will ever change there.
