Hey all, I am able to connect to EGS when no mods are selected, but I am trying to play on a savage lands modded server. Unfortunately they have quite a few mods on it (38 or so) I can get EGS and funcom to connect when I have about 20 or so mods selected, but if I go past that, When the game boots up fully, EGS will always show as no connection. I can’t even play single player with the mods due to not being able to connect to EGS.
I know I should have bought from Steam but EGS had the better price at the moment with coupon.
Is there a setting in one of the INI’s that may help to not timeout the connection while the mods load or something? I have tried disconnecting from the internet to load the game and reconnect in game, but it will never connect with the mods loaded.
If the mods are up to date (always double check this, then check again… modders can be busy bees sometimes), and the modlist.txt matches the mod order of the server. It ‘should’ work.
I don’t see EGS having an affect on that.
You do have enough info for a reproduction though. So here’s hoping someone can confirm the issue.
Did you check whether the mods actually got downloaded?
You speak of connections timing out, so maybe that’s because it’s trying to download the mods and they’re quite large so it takes time? I didn’t use the Epic version so this is just speculation, but based on what you said there might be some timeout happening during the downloading of the mods.
So to try and counteract that by making sure that the mods are already downloaded on your computer and your modlist.txt already has them in the right order like Taemien pointed out above.
You can download mods manually with steamCMD if needed
