If it should be a payed option, it should not be a that costly option compared to an imbuer
and not RNG, there is enough of that within the pay systems already. Especially the “Agent Loot boxes” <.<

Suffix change is important,it has the almost same value as anima imbuer,if its cheap then the result is the current economy Will be ruined.Think about it how much cost a 3pip energy ksr for example,you loot a 3pip restoration which is trash,you bought a cheap suffix changer,and you get extra money from that…
It either should be not cheap And not RNG

Think about epic cache key and normal cache key.

Never said it should be too cheep, as then people may just switch on a whim
but Difinitly not 2.500 :aurum: value range,
1.000 - 1.500 :aurum: seems more right but only if you can pick the one you want.
if it is RNG it needs to be a 150 :aurum: of that. but there is TOO much RNG already.

But changing the Suffix is likely to cause the weapon to to be Character bound.
(like any other messing with an items does)

You can’t loot a KSR with an Epic Key. Also given that it has a 33% chance on a weapon and one key costs like 2k aurum (which is around 550k Mof) that puts the cost of using them to make a profit at around 1.65 million mof you pay for 1 weapon in average…they could cut it in half and the AH prize wouldn’T be impacted.

I think matching the price of the imbuers, or even a little higher, wouldn’t be unreasonable IF it isn’t random. Saving up the mofs to get that much aurum to then have my “of recovery” become “of warding” would be… Yeah.

I think none of this message a related to what @VivaCristoRey was trying to say. They were only talking about changing the suffix. Never mentioned getting KSR from epic key or about profit from buying epic keys.

Don’t buy epic keys for cosmetics. Just watch the auction house and use MoF when a cosmetic you want shows up.

It would be nice, if you could craft yourself a new suffix. It would require an imbuer… and a pain in ■■■■ amount of work…

It could be similar to being able to unlock peculiar box… finish set amount of missions… kill so many X… then, allow it to be sold on AH. If, someone chooses to.

You would craft according to what suffix you wanted.

IMHO, recovery and warding should be removed. Leave existing ones as legacy.

Or… go to a two suffix model. Where, energy or Havoc is paired with Alacrity or restoration.

I’m a bit disappointed that the epic key can give cosmetics… that’s a bummer.

Questions:
Epic keys are character bound?
Does Haunted cache have only 3 epic items? So your guaranteed a neck? or can you still get a tarantula cycle while using an epic key?

No, it should literally just be an item you buy and use, like the imbuers are. It would be a spectacularly dumb idea to pay real money just to have to do a bunch of busywork lol. :v:

Well said.Think about buy a anima imbuer and still need to farm out a toon of stuffs lol…If the suffix imbuer even exist,it should in par with anima imbuer.

Epic keys are carĂĄcter bound
Huanted cache only have 3 epic Ă­tems,but you are not guaranteed a neck,because you also posible to get a tarantula cycle,a black widow o a full set of aranea outfits.

You can get a recluse outfit, the arachno bike, a pet spider or a neck. There just is no issue with wrong suffixes since talis have no suffixes

My idea, was so crafting would work For a specific suffix… so for x+Y equal energy. Y+Y = Alacrity. I’d rather have that than dealing with an RNg purchasable imbuer. Frankly, i’d Rather have the whole thing like the imbuers from Dark Agartha.

Unless it’s an addition to a cache or something. I think it’d be ok to have an “Energy Imbuer” drop as an epic cache reward that you can sell in AH

Other pay2win games have definitely made this kind of thing cost a buck a try though for a random result…

IMO, suffix randomizers should exist as a MoF sink and imbuers for specific suffixes should be sold for aurum. But both should make the weapon character-bound so it doesn’t disrupt the market as much.

There is literally zero point in wasting even a minute of dev time implementing a random suffix changer. I know people can’t accept simple solutions when there’s GAME DESIGN™️ to be done but they’re utterly worthless as a concept - the entire point of an item to change the weapon suffix is convenience and it is categorically not convenient to have to keep trying a bunch of times until you get lucky. :v:

I mean, I assume that any suffix changing item would make the weapon character bound (like the imbuers do) but any market disruption would really come from the existence of suffix changers rather than the sale of individual weapons.
