I play only for the PvE and I sincerely hope that the developers keep putting in the good effort of expanding the PvE experience.
I’m not really into PvP in games like this at all. It’s not an experience I enjoy, but I do like the PvE in Conan.

I suspect @Vlaek had a more specific definition of PvE in mind than just the “opposite of PvP”. But I’ll let him explain rather than speculate on his exact meaning.
I’m pretty much 100% sure that no feature is really dependent on the game engine, because you can implement it either on top of the engine or by changing the engine. Hell, you can take an engine and then rewrite everything it has from scratch, if you want.
The point I was making was that it might not be feasible for Funcom. I don’t have the time right now to dig through the dev streams to find where Funcom specifically mentioned that the version of UE they use doesn’t support instancing and that this is a problem for them.
Ok, probably I didn’t explain well myself, maybe what I said could be misunderstood.
I meant PvE as it is intended usually in RPGs: fighting with mobs and bosses, for example in WoW the PVE content is raids, dungeons and stuff like that.
You can play PVE servers for a lot of reasons: building in a non anxiogenous environment I think is the main, roleplay could be another one, learning lore, watching scenarios, doing dungeons for the first time, or, in the end, freeing you from your slave bracelet. Of course there are a lot of reasons to Play in a PVE server but that is not strictly the PVE as I intend it. Killing bosses is not fun, you don’t do it because you get pleasure, you farm bosses because you need their loot and that’s it. If you have fun killing these bosses I think you never actually tried a game with real PvE content, and I think you should
i have been playing conan exiles from day one and I find this game to be excellent sure there are some area that could use improvement but overall the experience is very good. The problem as I see it is there are several different communities of players with in this game. For example the grinders and builders, those that build beautiful homes, castles and other structures. When they are happy with the game they do not complain. There are the roleplayers, that limit their clans weapons, armor and other choices based upon faction and or racial norms. By way of example a dogs of the desert style clan that only allows hyena fur armor for the clan members. When the roleplayers are happy they are quite and content.
What happens is, whatever playing group is unhappy, that is the voice heard in the forums, changes are made and now a different group is raising their voice with what they see as the problem.
It is a huge problem to make every group happy with the game. As a roleplayer, I am more than happy with how things are right now, no changes, just leave the game alone, develop new maps and dungeons and I would remain a happy camper. Currently the Thrall is the top fighter and hero, not the player and that is how is should be, the player is a generalist knowing many skills, the player can make armor, weapons, building, etc. so the player has not specialized in one skill. As a result the player will not and can not be the best fighter in the game.
The player is the leader that provides resources, purpose, motivation, and direction for the clan and the same things for the thralls. A person who has many skills will not be the best at any of those skills. If a T4 fighter solos the bosses and that bothers the player, then take a Bearer thrall or a dancer and then go Boss hunting.
For me i take Kathibria Featherstep when I farm the unnamed city and that does provide a challenge. Also my clan fights bare chested with our hearts and vital organ exposed to the enemy this is suppose to show our faith in: our fighting ability, our clan, and our goddess.
What i hear is folks complaining that with a top tier fighter defeats the Bosses can be easily defeated. That is how it should be. A Cimmerian is in the top tier of fighters, if his regeneration bothers you take the food away. Star metal weapons are a top tier weapon. You want a challenge give him a stone sword and no food.
Tel you want lets fix it all thrall spawn with nothing bare as the day they were born, and then go back to feeding them or they die. Log off for 5 days and all of your thralls have died of starvation.
If you are after a challenge stop using top tier items and thralls!!!
But that is just my thoughts.
Or you could play using only one hand and with one eye closed.
OK you want a challenge fight realistic, It is not possible to eat during a fight so take your thralls food away, yours too. Stop and drink during a fight, not going to happen and live. So next boss fight do not eat or drink, do not repair a weapon on the move return to your base have the weaponsmith fix it, the same with armor. You want realism build a lean to shelter (tent) only after all building huge keep takes a lifetime of work.
Come on lets Nerf the building ability, after all a player builds a huge bases in minutes.
Nerf the food it takes hours to digest food.
Nerf the tanner is takes multiple days to tan leather.
Nerf the healing ability it takes weeks to heal from nearly dead.
Nerf spawning you die you start all over from square one.
Its not enough, sure, but its a good step to the right direction.
Imo enemie’s attack patters should be reworked, some hit too fast, too strong, or too far, probably becuase these enemies were designed with the old dodge in mind, while the new one barely do its job: Immunity frames with quick animation recovery.
But such a big overhaul would take a massive effort for very little change, i’m sure that 90% of players won’t care or notice, because of thralls, or simply being more interested in PVP.
I disagree, if you feel like it is to easy then use a weaker thrall, restrict to just exiled thralls. Some of us like having strong thralls.
I mean whats the point of fighting to the end and finally getting that thralls when it’s so week that it is garbage.
They should leave thralls alone, maybe even buff pets. Then make some dungeons where thralls are simply not allowed. Instanced places with no thralls for players who wanna fight bosses without the advantage of a thralls.
Add some solo instances where only 1 person can do it, then add group instance where 1 clan can all be in it. With similar rewards so you can get same stuff be you a solo or a group player.
But stop nerfing the thralls because SOME people think there to strong, because the rest of us actually enjoy the strong thralls and nerfing them ain’t going to fix anything, just makes the rest of us less happy.
Bossfights to be exciting in this game would require you to fight them yourself, wich in my opinion is just not fun with the current fighting. There is no blocking, except with a shield, dodging is a joke and even if you figure out the mechanics, bugs and lag will get you… so I can only assume thats why Thralls have to remain overpowered. So that fighting may stay somewhat lackluster.
