Every patch makes it more tedeous

Which game has such an AI, which is not single player or is a monthly fee-based game??
I can not even think of 1 game I played, were enemies are behaving like that…

Lets all just hope, that Funcom will bring a full fledged survival MMO (with or without monthly fee) based on the Conan universe and all the things they learned from their games.

It all depends how much money the Conan-chop-chop will bring

Gents, please forgive the snips. With any luck I have not lost the context.

With your TKD you are aware of the hitbox limitations: generally melee combat is limited to 5 assailants with empty hands and (probably) 3-4 with polearms. The largest melee weapon with which I was trained is an M16 plus bayonet, but even with a combat knife the flood of men is somewhat limited due to sheer physicality. Separately, if you have a chance to fight say in a Darfari village you can see how the aggro “particulates” once a certain density of humanity is reached. I believe this is a design choice, based on how much I do this. As in, it keeps the game from being too hard.

There is a PS3 one called Resistance: Fall of Man, the console’s actual only launch title. It’s the only smart “blended melee/ranged” combat game with npc Cry For Help and gang tactics that actually worked.

I use the PS4 with its fixed hardware rates/speed/memory as the arbiter. Fleshtearer Falls has 10 npcs, which makes percentages easy. Between my PCs and the PS4s, there is no true limitation to npc involvement other than Upload speed. This is the only real consistency: when my up is choked, I will be ganked into oblivion. My suspicion is you meant this with regard to “performance” even though the usual inference is performance is relative to server ticks.

It would be nice to have AI on thralls that did less of the combat work while harvesting and fighting NPC’s, and more of the siege of other players castles. Would be nice to be able to place an army of thralls outside of a castle, and they would attack like a purge only player structures and thier thralls/pets. Barrage the base with archers you captured if it is a tower, or penetrate the opening you create to take the battle into the castle, etc. That would be more appropriate Conan Lore wise, as from time to time he led armies. Having 1 follow would still be the norm as it is.
To do this would need new storage building piece. A “cell”. It will only take broken thralls, and the armor and weapon would be what ever they had when you captured them. Can be animated like the wheel of pain, and have 3 tiers, 1 person 2x2x2, 4 person 3x3x2 and 8 person, 4x4x2. Have to provide it food to keep them alive.
Need a second piece–Trojan Horse type siege weapon-- That cannot be placed on land claim, but once you set it down, you can put 8 thralls in it, and you would place a marker for where it needs to attack. When the marker is placed, the thralls spawn by the Trojan Horse, and march toward the marked area. Ahhhh, such that i dream

But you simply dont need too. Most people have the thrall tank the thing you are fighting while the player uses healing arrows to heal the thrall.

Then you use your melee from behind the enemy while the thrall is tanking.

That is literally how everyone does it.

Daggers for bleed or a few points of jab with a poisoned weapon.

I am mainly a DPS support toon for my tier 4 thrall who wears better armor and carries better weapons than I do. And if I die…I can almost 100% guarantee you that if I return he or she will be standing and fighting the beast.

Game of Thralls is a reality.

The main problem is the insane health pool the thralls have…

Thralls should be a replacement for lacking clan mates.
But no human player can tank so good like a thrall.

Either make the health for human players higher, which would be bad for PvP or reduce the dmg output from certain bosses or invent PvE tank gear, which has 0 protection in PvP.

I wouldnt say the health pool is the problem. The damage thralls do is ridicilous high. Give a named thrall a 2handed sword and u will be one hitted 100%.

What are you talking about. You can play any way you want. But the logical element to all of this is that a thrall makes your life easier. A lot has become tedious and now with many of the changes that came out lf left field a thrall is now more iffiecient to get things done.

You can go it alone sure. But why would you.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything. But the majority of people will bring thralls because they are simply put…better than player characters. Its been a fact for a very long time.

Even with buggy ai.

There is a blast from the past
