I’ve been doing a lot of building today in preparation for the living settlements. In just a few hours I’ve fell through my settlements several times. Any word on if this is going to be fixed anytime soon?
I usually see my toon bending down to one knee. Others look like above. I think the game client creates the main scene, so between these are the bugs.
It may be forgotten (feedback) code.
It sounds like it is the game client, like it tries to restart a fall in order to find ground. ![]()
Happens so often it’s ridiculous that I give up … have hardly played since last April
Update: I have fallen though my foundations so many times while rebuilding parts of my base… much more than just hanging out in it. Can anyone on the beta testing tell me if the falling bug is still occurring on the test build? This bug needs to die. I’ve jumped over to Ark, Medieval Dynasty, Subnautica, etc… building just feels better in Conan, but the falling through my base is killing it.
It’s odd really, but i am not quite sure what causes it anymore. It rarely happens on one server i play, and is very short lived. It does occasionally in some specific spots in my base sink treasure and thralls.
On another server i am on, once it starts nothing can be interacted with and i just sink and ghost through everything in my base. I had it last for a solid 15 minutes today. Aggravating. Yet my thralls never sink.
Also been seeing Al-Meraya raiders in all kinds of dungeons for the first time. The Wine Cellar and Jhebbal Sag dungeon for example.
That said, there are some crazy, crazy builds on that server. There’s even one base i just walked through (through gates and walls) unknowingly, my Xbox shut down Conan and upon logging in i was in the middle of a mind bogglingly large base.
As long as people do things like build literal taxidermy zoos, this won’t get any less severe.
My sincere advice is either make a report if it is the kind of thing you wish to take time for, and have no desire to make alts, or move to a different server/work on another playthrough.
I have not fallen in yet and I have played almost daily since Beta released.
But, some of the things that have accompanied falling through foundations occur. Such as logging in and falling through the world before everything loads.
If it is fixed and I hope so, I fear it has been replaced by other problems.
I hope it’s fixed. What other problems are replacing it in the beta?
Getting stuck inside of bosses and regular monsters/animals is very common. To the point I made a bug report not only to point out it is still pre-existing but with elaboration and extra comments. I got stuck inside of a normal spider… if I am fighting a big 3 skull I often will get stuck halfway in the mesh (more tests are required).
Getting kicked by Battleye happens a LOT.
Tethered rubberbanding on login is almost a guarantee. I need to do more tests but I’ve also been experiencing this problem that if I pull bracelet after rolling while in this state, the camera zooms out (doesn’t circle), screen loads and I’m in the desert. No opportunity to choose respawn point. While in the desert either 2 things can happen: the selection screen for respawn comes up, remains at zero and nothing can be chosen, I can access the game menu and log out and back in, pull bracelet and get back. Or I can move around in the desert but wanting to get back to base immediately means that pulling bracelet is a neverending cycle of the same. It took me about 20 minutes to respawn back at my base last night.
Not to mention the companion, thrall and settlement functionalities are screwy. I’ve barely touched most of it because I’ve spent so much time testing and retesting old bugs and newly presented ones in pre-existing gameplay. But I have had thralls end up at 0.0.
Are we talking about the player falling through the floor that’s been around for half a year or the thralls falling through the floor that’s been around since at least 2021?
Essentially, both. Thralls falling through got worse with the more recent one. It’s gotten to where I periodically have to pick up my thralls from under my base. Very frustrating.
I know, believe me.
Every time I log into the game, there’s a thrall’s head peeking out of the floor somewhere.
Or just do a little revamping around the thrall - the base is new and we keep tweaking it as needed and … is back in the floor.
My base is built over water, so I have doors and stuff built into the underground area since these problems arose. It sucked when I wasn’t use to it as I would drown and lose my stuff when I’d log out in my house. Not so much now since I don’t log out in my base anymore, except in one front gatehouse where it’s essentially built almost directly on the terrain.
I was thinking about rebuilding the teleport in the jungle last night - we used to have it there but when the BP quests were redone we stopped using it and forgot to refresh it once, so it crumbled.
I found a good spot in a tree , started to build a platform and then realised that if I fell through the floor then I’m dead.

If you don’t die, try looking up for a few seconds. That fixed it for me. This is if you seem stuck.
I’ll try it. Most of the time I just log out and back in. It is problematic when you get stuck in foundations right after someone attacks you during raid time.
Yes login out and login back work in most cases but if you are doing purge or if you have a base in hight place like a tree or in water you will die for sure.
the real test is at official servers
i think this issue is related to server performance. the officials are really struggling even with low population.
i am not into conspiracy theory, but the toggledebughud where you can measure perforamcne was disable… for reasons i do not understand.
i am pretty sure if they had fixed it. they would be posting about it, saying the fix is on beta tests. no word on it. nothing.

Indeed, the real test is official… unfortunately.
There’s a post by someone who mentioned the error logs even running the beta though, we’ll see.
You can still use toggledebughud but have to initiate it in SP admin mode and then access a server. I have suspected the same as you though but if I recall correctly, there was an Official statement that removal was due to its purpose being for admin mode only… I might be misremembering.
