Fatal Error As soon as game starts

Bug Description:

Launch the game and in the Intro scene I get this error message:

Fatal error: [File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\RenderingThread.cpp] [Line: 805]
Rendering thread exception:
Fatal error: [File:C:\B\tech_exiles\code\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11Util.cpp] [Line: 181]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - ‘HUNG’)


Steps to Reproduce:

Cant reproduce the Steps as it seems to be localised to me.


Any Idea on what is going on here?

These are usually related to your GPU. Update and/or reinstall your drivers.

Done and Done even did it a third time just to make sure.

And it still flags with this error. No other issues with my other games - Just Conan.

Happens to me sometimes. After the last patch is when it started. Never did it before.

I would follow Narelle’s advice, and further. Start reaching into that tech 101 handbag. Do a complete re-install of video drivers, directx, Microsoft C++, chipset, etc.

Well I did an utter and complete Clear up of Conan on my system. I removed every file related to it. Re installed Conan and it is now working a treat. So case closed. Knew it wasnt or had anything to do with my rig. ^^
