Still love the 6k white crits in brute with a weird dps spec with the crafted blunt.
it’s not only that, the 1hb has the ashur buff, so more spell penetration.
Hm… if you don’t have a full T6 gear and fight against T6 / T5 bosses then armor / spell penetration is kinda useless… especially if you only have the Ashur blessing. I remember that one post on the old forums there was a table which listed how much your damage increased with certain amounts of armor / spell penetration, 105 spell penetration was almost nothing.
Wait…so any class that can get DW, gets those gladius weapons? And from that scroll?! Damn, I’m gonna use it on Conq then…
Weapons in T6 are class bound but Conq and Barb use both 2 swords so yeah, if you decide to get the swords you will have 2 gladius, for Conq it’s Kopas of the Dunes + Blade of the Manic Haze and for Barb it’s Sword of Ashur + Blade of the Manic Haze.
Those are the ones for Conq: https://static.is-better-than.tv/armory/kopas_of_the_dunes.jpg
and https://static.is-better-than.tv/armory/blade_of_the_manic_haze.jpg
They look really nice ingame, I totally love “simplistic” looking items when it comes to swords.
But be really sure which one you chose, if you don’t take the two handed weapon you can’t get it anymore unless you get it from real T6 raids, this weapon is probably the best one in the game when it comes to tanking bosses.
In order to get the T6 weapons (you get a scroll item which, when used, opens up a quest where you can chose between 2 rewards, the two handed weapon or the 2 one handed swords) you will need to kill the real raid bosses for the special saga quest line, Leviathus in T2, Thoth Amon in T3, Bat of Nergal in T3.5 and Emperor Ya Chieng in T4 but that shouldn’t be a problem if you join a big guild, they can teach you what to do in these raids.
Sadly, as a Conq, I don’t feel right when running as a TANK. Always, when I play a dps, I main a dps like a madman. These 2 gladius are perfect for Wolf set. There will just be so much fun.
Btw, what quest will I need to do to unlock t6 weapon for Crom char? Is it the same quest as the scroll for Zath char on lvl 20?
You will just get an item in your Claims window on Crom that you use and get to choose the reward.
No he won’t, since he didn’t roll a char on Saga.
Sorry to tell you but you are playing the Conq wrong then, a Barb would be more fitting as Conq is a tank class that should be tanking, there are more than enough other classes that can do dps just as good.
On the saga server every character gets a special quest, to complete that you need to reach certain levels (20, 50 and so on), once you reached level 80 (full T1 set as reward) the next step is to complete the destiny quest (T4 cloak as reward), after that you will need to do a raidfinder raid (rewards are some additonal raidfinder caches and a scroll item that, when right clicked, opens up this “quest reward window” where you can choose a T6 necklace) now you can do the last step, kill the real raid bosses I mentioned above, this rewards you with another scroll item (that lets you choose between the two T6 weapon sets), some expertise points and a special title.
All the rewards you get will be bound to your saga character (you can not trade the T6 weapon or necklace to another character), however, once the servers merge in may 15th all the rewards you were able to get will go as an additional reward into your claims window (type /claims in the chat or open it from the inventory button), that means you will be able to claim all the rewards from the quest (only the ones you were able to reach, lets say you only reach level 80 and complete the destiny quest until the server ends: This means you will only get the T1 cache and the T4 cloak into your claims window) ONE TIME on a character of your choice. The claim reward does also not depend on your class, if your saga character is a Demo that chooses the Dagger + Talisman it will not prevent you from using the claim scroll at may 15th on a guardian and choosing the polearm.
I don’t care honestly? I play how I want to. Conq is fun as dps and boring as tank. And also fun as ■■■■ to play otherwise.
Nice that someone finds dps specc enjoyable, its usually seen as as the most boring specc in the game.
It’s more enjoyable to the same type of person who prefers rf grinding over actual raiding, a monkey could do great DPS with a carnage conq, while tanking requires a brain and paying attention.
What, just stacking bubbles and some boring ■■■ ■■■■ every time? No thank you, I leave that boring crap to Guardians and DT. Conq is like THE most fun dps I had yet to play as. If not for Crom inactivity I would’ve hit t5 by now, just because of my dedication.
Lol. When it’s just Mage ■■■■■■■ (no offense) running around or backstabbing rogues of course they consider Conq dps boring. It’s most badass when you face mobs/bosses face to face and show off some real skill in combat. (I’m talking here generally about character skill not skill as a gamer).
you seem like someone that values diffrent things then me, enjoy making your char look cool and all that.
T5? Probably not :).The problem is that a pure dps conq does not add anything more beneficial to a raidforce than a barb. Every raid leader would choose a barb over a conq who refuses to tank, any time, any raid. No one cares how you play your toon solo, of course you can play it however you like. But frankly, nor is it baddass, neither does it require real skill to solo on a dw conq. If you think tanking is the easy part, than you did not see anything else than the easy tank and spank bosses so far.
In a group or raid it is not up to you how to play your toon. As already explained to you not only would the loot be something to consider, the raid/group setup would be, too, because of buffs and debuffs. Not to talk about the aggro you would get from the other tank/s. You can rage about that as long as you want to. That will not change the fact that you will not see any substantiell raid from the inside, if you keep that mindset.
Also if I use T6 weapons, and are not bad at all, i love two twin swords, one white other black, my favourite weapons skin in game are:
Searing Sword (2h quest T2)
Vanir 2H craftable sword
T5 2hb
T5 barb main hand axe/PvP T2
DT T1/2 1h
Surprised no one mentioned Rook’s Cunning, the dagger from Crow’s Nest that used to be as large as your character when it was first released. Seeing sins with 2 of them walking around was a sight. I’m sure someone has a screenshot still of this.
Aesthetically I find the t2 2he quest reward pleasing. I use it on my barb for solo play and I prefer it over the actual t2 2he for barb.
