I recently read about a trick to get around that problem and at the same time would allow for multiple maps. I already use something quite similar to it in my simulator.
Iām not quite sure what the argument is here. My channel focuses primarily on Funcom-related content ā from music to gameplay ā and even when I poke fun at broken features or janky animations (some of which Iāve fixed with mods, others Iāve just ignored), Iāve never had any issues with Funcom, not for any reason.
In my experience, the only real problem with Funcom lies in how they develop their games. Their community management, on the other hand, is among the best Iāve encountered. Iāve even spoken directly with someone from their community team on a few occasions ā including how to properly submit suggestions to the devs to help improve things on the modding side.
So whatever people are upset about here, it doesnāt line up with my own experience.
Then rather than just arrogantly dismissing what ādoes not line up with your experienceā as you so readily do every time, maybe you should simply watch the video that starts the thread and explains exactly what is going on here. Then you would know what everyone is complaining about, and you wouldnāt be in a position to simply dismiss it.
We canāt be talking about funcom, Iāve seen better community management at a peewee baseball game. So Iām going to assume you are being very sarcastic, or are confused and thinking of another game.
What people are upset about has been very clearly explained, how could you miss it?
funcom has been flagging and having youtube block videos that arenāt all puppy dogs and rainbows about the Conan exiles game. At first I thought it was about using the terms āexploitā or āhackā but no all those video are still up. Seems funcom has targeted some of their best content creators for not shaking their pompoms hard enough for funcom.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!
I think something that is unfortunate is the arrogance to believe that our singular experiences define this game.
That is simply not true by measure of it being a sandbox and by its IP. There are multiple, valid, ways to play. Multiple, valid, experiences.
Whether you are the casual single player, hardcore PVPer, passionate RPer, diehard fan of Conan, creative modder or social PVEr. For some we are all.
I like to believe that we can come together. But we have to want that unity. I hope that you all can realize that despite our differences.
How can you be ignored and mistreated by Funcom for seven years and still go on to buy their next game?
You people have no dignity⦠and you deserve the way they treat you.
āThe oldest form of oppression is mob rule. Even animals are capable of that.ā
That might have something to do with the relative popularity of your channel compared to others like Firesparkās or Wakās. ![]()
Ah, there it is. I was wondering when you were going to take the opportunity to try to flog your mods some more. ![]()
When thereās a lot of people with varied experiences and they all fail to line up with your own, then thatās a good indicator that your experience is out of the ordinary.
Not that it matters. What youāre really up to is promoting your content. Mission accomplished.
Funny thing, those who complain the loudest about the oppression of mob rule are usually those who are the least oppressed and who, in fact, know the least about the oppression or the mob rule.
Hear, hear!!! You speak such truths, Mage!
Some one else can check but funcom has apparently pulled the beta client from steam.
I couldnāt find it with a search, but that could be steams skewered up search.
have you not found it yet
Maybe Iām remembering it wrong but I remeber it being in the store and mods for it.
It doesnāt have a store page, and it doesnāt show up in search - but itās still in my Steam Library
So itās been pulled from steam.
Yes, itās in my library. I just thought it used to have a store page, could just be an old man.
