Hello, I want to give you my very early feedback about the new game mode that I waited with so much impatience.
Also, take this feedback with a bit of salt.
My feelings are: why did you remove basic things like slaughter and dash to get them to the altar ? I don’t understand, this game is so fun to play due to his mobility and ability to slaughter on metal songs, so why remove the fun ?
Most of the time, I finish praying to get the dash and when it’s not the case, I end up dying because I’m too slow to manage the bullets and enemies around wave 4-5…
Also, I think the weapons usage limit is a bad idea, I don’t know for the most of players but I prefer having only two weapons and never changes than seeing them disappeared before a big wave and don’t have a weapon available in the altar…
Maybe can you do things like in other roguelike games by giving permanent weapons when they drop with only two slots and can’t change them ? It’s still RNG based but not as frustrating as the actual thing.
The drop rate of weapons seems very low too, I find myself having hard times because during 4-5 waves, I don’t drop a weapon.
Good point, the skill tree is massive and we can have back seals and new things.
Also, the bonuses in the altar (other than recovery bonuses…) look great, I don’t know all of them but it was helpful.
Echoes from the void seems a bit low on drop but I think it’s okay-ish.
My conclusion is I really hate this game mode right now despite the fact I really want to complete all the skill tree.
I don’t want to inflict myself this slow and boring gameplay if I don’t drop the dash and slaughter bonuses.
And even if I did, I will surely die because I will not have weapons at the moment.
You make really high quality content that I love but this time, I’m very disappointed ^^’

Could not agree with you more about the dash and slaughter. I get they wanted to strip away key compents of play to ensure we didnt progress through it too fast and easy but on the flip side, i miss when games didnt take themselves too seriously and had that “arcade style” element of just have fun and keep going. Now a lot of times with games nowadays everything is either put behind a paywall or an absurd amount of challenges to “have fun” again. I understand theres a heavy balance toll with decisons like this but if I had one gripe with Leviathan mode it would be the lack of “fun” it entails through the first half of the playthrough to unlock dreams. And this is coming from someone who has became so familiar with the guns, songs, movement, and essence of how the game captures the ability to enjoy a solid high action fps, with also having the laid back, arcade style type of game i mentioned already. This update and mode is a huge step in the right direction when it comes to development and work done to make the playability of the game all the more enjoyable. But what I dont want to happen is for them to strip the certain key elements of “fun” in the game and have us unlock them for the grand scheme of things in a game mode. That being said this game sits in my top 5 favorite fps games for me personally with Apex, Overwatch, This, Halo, and Counter Strike. The movement alone makes this game so enjoyable for a movement fanetic like me to keep wanting to play. I’ll always continue to support this game no matter what so I hope the team continues on the good path and hears and adheeds the feedback!! <3
