Fence foundations won’t snap

Problem: Fence foundations won’t snap

Fence foundations won’t snap to the side of foundations when working on top of a layer of foundations. You can tell it’s not intentional as it will snap to some of them.

Very disheartening to see posts about this from July 18.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:
1.lay a foundation base - say 8x10 doesn’t really matter
2.build a wall on one side using foundations
3.try to snap fence foundations to said wall on the inside
4.fence foundations will only snap to the inside of about 80% of those foundations.

It’s been my experience that fence foundations are not used on top of foundations, but the ground.

My fences all snap to regular foundations just fine.

The ones that would snap, could they have been ‘snapping’ to something else, and not the foundation?

Try snapping fences (not fence foundations) where you want them and let us know what happens, please.

Try swapping for a second the building piece. It helps sometimed.

Omg! 600+ hours and I’d not noticed this. You’re right! I’ve built so much stuff that wasn’t clipping for the reason I thought it was.

Turns out it’s not a bug, but when things do get fidgety, Narelle suggestion works great.
