Fences...help new player. Doors placed in them?

I am building a tier 2 fence or brick around my not too fancy hut. I mainly want the fence to slow down any NPCs and purge. Now some questions:

1)Can I place an entrance (door) withing the gate? Tried so far and no luck( If so, how?
2)Do the various foundation/fence pieces need to be connected all together to stop decay?

Typically you would meed to place a door frame between fences, however the new paid dlc includes the type of gate you are talking about. Guess you gotta cough for FunCom, it’s a pretty decent game so it is good to support the dev team and company even though their reputation for bugs remains.

Hi there! I have all the DLCs, would it be in one of the artisan tables? I made them all and have them side by side.

Also, where is the ale keg? I need to make some as an ingredient so make other types of furniture, and I cannot find the stupid thing anywhere.

I might have to use GoogleFu when I get home to see if the internet has anything on it.

All the building pieces are crafted by hand. Look for Stable Fence Gate Frame & Stable Fence Gate. Ale Keg is crafted in any Artisan Table but you have to learn Brewing for it (basic Brewing is learned just with Feat points, no exploration).

or on unofficial servers and single player, there are mods for fence gates that don’t require DLCs.

Ok, sry i don’t quite understand what exactly you need to know, it is my bad English not yours. If i can say something is this… I choose the highest point of my land. I place some sandstone foundations, starting from my home, ending to the distance i want to be away from my home. At the external side of my foundation, i stick a fence foundation. I break the sandstone foundations and start fixing the perimeter of the house, with fence foundations. To the place that i decide to put entrance, i stick foundation to the fence foundation and put a doorframe. The rest is easy to understand.
