Game mode: * Single-player
Type of issue: * Crash
Server type:
Region: *United States of Trumps a Criminal
Hardware: Xbox One S
Bug Description: Frequent crashes weather plugged or unplugged from network.
…Hard crash…no closing 'splash window…just ends. cuts straight to the consoles dashboard. I disabled all notifications and background updates of content but it made no difference. This has been happening for the past month or so…stumped…
Steps to Reproduce: There’s no warning, it happens during regular game play. No input is prompting the crashes. Thankyou for your time.
Hey there, could you share some additional information with us, such as:
- Do you have your game installed on an SSD or HDD?
- Is the console stable playing other demanding games?
In the meantime, here are some suggestions that could help your case:
- Please ensure that your save is stored on the XBOX cloud before trying each of the following steps and letting us know if they help.
- Reset the console cache by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the console powers off, then disconnecting it from the power outlet for a couple of minutes, then try loading into your SP session.
- Try to perform a soft factory reset while keeping games and apps.If the above procedures don’t help, please try to perform a full reinstall of the game
I’m playing, installed on the console with no additional storage …
I performed a soft factory reset last night and have only 2 crashes…which is actually an improvement…before it would have been expected to crash about a dozen times in that same amount of gametime.
…it does ‘feel’ like a cache symptom…though…my son has no interruptions playing AVP or Assassins’ Creed. I’m only playing Conan so I don’t have a comparison to make.
I could ride horseback half way across the map, open my inventory, crash.
loot chest previews take about 5 seconds to load.
Is Conan to 'demanding for the processing in my console?
I’ll perform a full reinstall of the game tonight and hopefully have these things resolved.
Thankyou for your time…I love the game and am looking forward to slaying my foes with a spatula.
Let me know when you perform that reinstall and we’ll see if we can try other things.
Okay, I did the soft reset, then the reinstall of Exiles, Siptah, and the Blood and Sand DLC…still crashing…
Is this just to much game for a console?
Wouldnt hurt to grab the newer xbox and the newest gen. Xbox One hardware came out in 2013. Thats nearly 10 years ago.

Shouldnt need to purchase the newest gen console to play a 4 year old game that was released on last gen.
Runs every other game just fine. AC Valhalla, Cyberpunk, Ark, blah, blah, every game released during the life of last gen consoles.
But hey, spending $900 so FC games run a little smoother is just chump change…
Be realistic.

By saying things like this you make it seem ok for FC to ruin xbox version of CE.
Arent you a pc player?
Dont tell me i should be as full as you if you eat steak and i eat ramen noodles. We both ate food, but the intake and results are dirrerent. Go worry about PC life.

Was just a tiny suggestion. Chill.
I would have offered the same advice if a game that is still being updated or recently released on PC and the person who was struggling told me they built their PC in 2013. Conan Exiles or otherwise.
Its a general suggestion, I dont stalk peoples profiles to determine viability of an upgrade or whatever.
Good grief this forum.

Oh it would hurt very very much. Money’s to tight to mention yall.
No crashes on series S/X. you drive on an xbox dino thinking of buying minimum series S me and my clan refuse to play with people like you who crash too often just good to lose loot in battle because of your frequent crashes and you are only slowing us down with your extremely long loading times
Alright, thank you very much for trying. As there have been similar reports about this in the last couple of days, there might be an issue on the performance side. I’ve sent this information to our team for them to investigate.
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. Don’t hesitate to reach out again if you encounter any other issues.

Hey thats cool, but I never asked to play with you. These crashes are happening in singleplayer unplugged or plugged to the network.
Thanks for the insight to your superiority complex though…Most people in the real world consider that to be a deterrent enough to ignore the rest of whatever you may have to say.
good day

once in a while the landscape flashes black and settles at a higher point…like everyone is knee high in the ground. Maybe related?? I dunno. Thanks for your time and efforts put into these things. Your appreciated.
I gave it a go this morning. Siptah, single player…crashed 4 times within an hour. The black flashes and landscape misalignments were quite often all 4 sessions.
I’m taking a break from Conan for a while. Perhaps the single player option is becoming a thing of the past.
Toodles Yall

gave it another shot today…something got fixed…crashed in the first 5 seconds, reloaded, everything worked great and snappy, upgraded an entire 6x14 outpost to teir3 with no issues, dinked around and remodeled, packing and unpacking full large chests with large stacks and no issues…cooked lunch, coached my boy , tended to ma and came back totally expecting it to crash as soon as I checked my inventory…no issues…this was all about 4 hours…in slightly lower resolution and the maelstrom atmosphere was there full time…then it happened…crash, reload, a bright sunny day with still no issues…
…the maelstrom starting and stopping is what I think that is giving my sweet lil console s such a hard time to process
if there was a tweak made to be noticed, THANK YOU
iif this was just coincidence , well, that was my funtime today. Old lady diapers are a weapon.
That’s great to hear! You said it started acting up during the maelstrom so maybe that might have something to with it. I’ll send the info to the team regardless. Let me know if you notice any other changes or potential fixes!
Ran good for a few hours today. …from one side of the map to the other…moving in and out of heavily stacked inventoried crates, thralls and camels. I cashed in about 50 scout reports as fast as I could to process that at the same time the hugely populated environment was loading and that ran without a hitch as well.
I’m all in all pleased with the tweak.
I ran the wolf dungeon without so much as a stutter.
Thanks a ton for your time…your appreciated.
