Funcom and its "patch"

Patrons still sit funky and thralls and players are still sinking in the foundations. Hire someone competent to update your game. Seriously.

The camel went into the stable! Soon i’ll be caravaning around the Exiled lands so everything is just fine.

Why you are laughing, they sad the truth! They will be even better in bugs, glitches and buildings wipes.

It’s not that they aren’t competent, it’s just they have a long list to do. Admittedly, they should aim to turn out updates more frequently than they do though, at least every month or two.

We still have this horrible current combat system. Guess it will be changed or hopefully tossed in the dusbin in March?

Could someone please let me know if they’ve managed to find the post where Funcom said “We’re truly sorry we stuffed up so badly just before Xmas then left - the really pressing issues are being worked on right now with urgency.”

I don’t seem to be able to find it.

With games like Enshrouded and Soulmask and Nightingale etc all just around the corner, is this really the time to continue to treat your customers with such utter contempt? If we feel taken for granted, do you think it might mean longer stints (or permanent breaks) from the game… errr… I mean, from the Bazaar and Battlepass? I have bought every Battlepass so far. And a fair bit of stuff from the Bazaar and every DLC and am over 8000 hours now (still a baby next to some). Yes I am an idiot. Right now am thinking there’s only one way to make Funcom stop taking its player base for granted. And I hope like hell I fall in love with Enshrouded and others like I think I will. That and frustration with being treated with contempt by Funcom will finally make me go cold turkey on my biggest addiction.

Had to rescue all my pets from under the floor today when I logged in after the hotfix. That’s some stellar fixing there Funcom. BTW…6 weeks later is not really a hotfix. Just sayin’.

I know i’ll be jumping ship to Nightingale next month… CE is done far as i’m concerned.

Relations between devs/players are strained and I don’t expect them to improve in the future.

Soulmask is single player. Nightingale is co-op.

Soulmask is not just singleplayer. But sorry, what was your point?

I like all the updates and fixes etc. But as you I have to agree that im am really surprised how particularly buggy the NPC/AI can be in this game.

The server I play on, on a good day have 10-15 people on it and probably half of them are building (PVE), yet almost all combats have issues. Either some of the NPCs don’t react, before you hit them or your followers won’t do anything.

These are just some stuff happening either in combat or out of combat. My giant for some reason decide to walk backwards half the time, typically after he have been in combat.

Dead enemies T-posing (stand up after being dead)

Enemy returning to it original starting point, not reacting to getting attack on its way back.

I also noticed that my character float around as if on ice, sometimes it help to jump or use a bandage.

And the list goes on.

I just don’t get how it can be this buggy, when there are so few people on the server, because I also tried joining a server where I was the only one and my character was floating around constantly and the ping was less than 35ms.

To me it seems that there is something seriously wrong with the AI system and need a fix or an overhaul. And lets be honest the majority of enemies are just standing there doing nothing at all until you agro them and then they bug. It can’t be that difficult to fix, when the only action they can take is attack player or follower.

And bookshelves are still epmty half of the time😀
