I don’t know if they have stated it explicitly, but it is implied in many places. The old thread asking for feedback about the Funcom launcher, the fact the game was about to be offered on the Epic Games store, they want to create functionality that doesn’t rely on Steam or Epic Games, but instead works independent of platform for DRM, chat, mod workshops, etc.
With all due respect, I was discussing the state of the internet and unfounded rumors of data collection from FC.
If you want to discuss the state of the game, have a good time in another thread
