Game Crash since last patch

Since the last patch we have not been able to log into the game, it gives a fatal error and I have no idea what is causing this.

Can I get some help to trouble shoot this?

+1 This is happening to me and my friend as well after update. We have mods, do you? Because we literally left Gportal because we couldn’t figure it out. We never had these issues before the update. Even deleted mods and reinstalled one by one to figure out what mod is doing it because Gportal first said it was Funcom but then said it was the mods. When I installed 4 mods at a time up to 16 mods total, and didn’t fatal error, but when I installed the next 4 mods to total 20 mods, we fatal error’d. So I deleted those 4 mods and tried to get in again but error’d. It was weird because the first 16 mods let us play. So I think it’s funcom. We are getting the same issues now on HostHavoc. We downloaded all the mods and went in server with no issues, but then we put in our old database and we started fatal erroring again. So we wiped and started fresh and we were fine with a couple fatal errors while in game here and there. Now after putting down a round circle building piece from a mod with a map-room on top of it and tried to put a foundation down next to it so I can build stairs, I fatal error’d. When I tried to get back in, I fatal error’d in the loading screen.

So I am not sure what’s going on because the mods we’re using seems to be in other people’s servers as well and I know its a mod issue because we deleted all the mods and played without them with 0 problems.

Check your mods. Anything with a custom material that has NOT been updated since 2.8 is going to crash. That means buildings, weapons, armor, placeables. Anything with a custom made material on it.

So like, hair styles etc as well?

if i remove mods and there are items in game that these mods created what will happen to them?

They are usually wiped but the removed mod may leave some broken references in the database.

Can confirm that one of my mods, “Dudes Delightful Decorations” was causing the error.
