I don’t know if this is happening to you, but for me the game is taking too long to load after I “get on my server” OFFICIAL PVE 1950.
Before charging took about 1 minute now it takes about 5 to 15 minutes, always.
The worst part of this is that during this loading period my NPC often ends up starving and thirsty, which is pretty curious how can it be consuming food and water if I’m not even online in the game yet? to wait 10 minutes at the loading screen the game simply “disconnects” me and if I can’t, and this is very difficult, log in again to “recover” my body after the “death by waiting for loguim” I still close all my items, armor … because they disappear if I can’t get in to collect the body.
Unfortunately this is my cruel present reality.
Is the game installed on a hard drive or external?
On the hard drive, I play this game since the first day of release on steam I have almost 3,000 hours played, it only started to happen after the last update.
I don’t know if this could also have to do with buying the “last DLC”, I have them all and how “satisfied / happy” I am with the current progress of the updates as soon as I saw the new DLC I bought, since then I don’t know if it was the purchase of the last DLC or the last update, the game was like that for me, I played in the “maximum” graphic quality now I’m in “medium” until “high” the game hangs a lot for me, until I participate in the forum of " FPS crash, "and look how the game records for me until there in the desert, when I insisted on continuing high I crashed so much that I died in the crashes and until then in the desert in the middle of nowhere the game crashed.
I opened this new forum because in addition to having this problem, already reported in another FPS forum, I also have this from loading the game when entering server take so long up to 15 minutes that my NPC even starves and thirsts.
And that’s right now that I really cheered up again with the game.
Hey @tjhoban
DLC ownership does not impact performance, all the DLC contents are downloaded and loaded for every player regardless of their ownership due to the nature of the game and the DLC.
Is your server very populated or with very complex player-made buildings? Also, when you log in are you nearby any megastructure?
I used to carry on a mega build, which was mine, but as I lost my base since the game was not making major upgrades … now not anymore, since my base went missing and I just made a “little house”, but when my base was gigantic I didn’t have this problem, neither crashing nor delaying the initial loading when opening the game to the point of the NPC even with full water and food, which I already foresee this problem, die! As I said I have almost 3,000 hours of the game, every detail, every bug and even how to live with them I know, even these of course.
thanks for the interest in my case, hugs!
It’s this way on PS4 also. Submitted ticket for Official 3502 for crappy loading issues. Both start screen and inbase. Starve to death before you can see then again waiting for bases to load. Plus the loss of gear if you don’t reach it in time. If they allowed clip attachments to the tickets you would see how bad it is. I appreciate new content but lets get back to basics and realize the fundamentals of reliable game play which CE doesn’t have due to loading issues.
Still waiting on FC to hold to their comment on last dev stream of fixing Blood and Sand armor. 1 week later, still waiting.
We’ve released some optimizations that should help when loading assets, which might positively impact your loading times.
It’s currently on Testlive, soon to be released live.
This has also been fixed on Testlive.

And why did I have an even greater difficulty logging in than others?
On my PVE server 1 player only absolutely filled the entire sandstone area, a HUGE absolutely unused area, even laid foundations, as you can see even “inside” my base in the area that “disappeared” I probably had a “bleed” on those Unable to login since the last update, known issue.
Looking at the photos you can not really get a sense of what I say, because whenever I am in one part to take pictures the other half of the sandstones do not charge because they are already far from me, and we are talking about only one base that does not carry within 1 field of view of the game, which is quite far away.
It is very clear not to use the area, but the desire to fill the map, the base on the top is very small, and as it is PVE nobody can do anything, only die with the game crashed since the game servers not can carry thousands of sandstones.

I hope you get on the server that I play and see this situation because I’ve been hurt too much by the game and this is another situation that we players have NOTHING to do, it’s PVE just getting out of the sandstone, the game needs to have minimal supervision how harmful any player can be to the entire community on that map.

When you asked me if my base was too big and I said no, I couldn’t get out of my base to see that a guy totally filled everything with sandstone that way you can see there, hundreds and hundreds of meters “of the game” "
Now that there was the new update, it took a long time to get into the game, and still getting a little “stuck”, but MUCH less than before the 24th update I found that there were thousands of sandstones making it harder to get in in the game, and without such nonsense people were already having difficulty.
I just wanted to update the information I had given before and it was incorrect!
I have to agree that loading is longer than usual. It takes up longer then before and it didnt happen before. I notice that it takes long to load lights and decorations.
