Gilding Vendor -Vanity Armour Purchase

I suspect I have made something of a blunder and, would appreciate some help in the form of clarification.

Given how long it takes to gather gilding tokens, could someone please tell me if when a set of armour is purchased from the gilding vendor, it comes in an ‘unopened’ cache that can be transferred by post before it is opened or, it is immediately bound to the character that purchased it?

it’s bound on pick up you cannot transfer it and cannot sell it on trader

As I feared, but regardless thank you for the reply and explanation.
(I started saving them on one character, but now realise that I would want them on another. Oh well, hi ho)
