Golems, pets and thralls shares the thrall cap. So yes they steal a spot. Have you ever build a golem? They take forever. Harvest this and that. I am better off harvesting my self. Team up with another player and boom we out harvest golems.
Golems suck at harvesting. I can better on my own. Golems are tools. “Tools are meant to be broken and repaired.”
Golems has low fix damage. By the time you get a golem I could have max out 20 t4 thralls.
I know about this, but I don’t want to waste computer resources on such server and sacrifice the quality of the game. I don’t need this, choosing the offline solo mode is my conscious choice.
(By the way, there is one thing in this game that works regardless of whether you are nearby or not - this is the creation of things on benches. Including the extraction of resources in mod`s mines)
I just wanted to say that there is a game mode in which golems are completely useless.
The golems have use if you have resources near your base and you are one of those folks that keep changing things up or just generally spend excessive amounts of time running around in your base tweaking and making things just right.
Shed? You keep tools in a shed and not your garage in a toolbox? I can repair my tools, armor and weapons in game. I can repair my base. My base doesn’t have x8 weakness to star metal. My armor, tools and weapons don’t have x8 weakness to star metal. Golem have harden steel tools as t3 golems arms. T3 golems are Crystalline golems.
Lots of valid points have been made, it is you who is being stubborn and have failed to explain why crafting a brand new golem anytime you want isn’t good enough for you.
The return of the service troll.
Several months ago you already opened an identical subject and the player community has already explained to you why your idea was bad.
We are not going to start pointless debates again!! as my exiled comrade pointed out above: you are stubborn and you wanted to have the last word.
Whether you come to this forum to share ideas is legitimate, everyone has the right to speak and express their ideas.
On the other hand, if you intended to do as during your previous presence among us: open 50 useless subjects, which are repeated and want at all costs to be right, without wanting to be annoying: abstain!!
I thought I made my point. X8 weakness to star metal. Less damage than thralls and pets. Less harvest than players. Have you ever build iron and stone golems? They are a pain. Crystalline golems parts can’t be made. Pets and thralls can heal. So repairing golems is same as pets and thralls being heal.
You never read do you. Most have a problem with the x8 star metal weakness and delay response time of golems. So if everyone has a right to express their opinion. I have the right to express my opinion on old subjects. Your insults won’t delay my resolution. Cost? You mean the lack of effort they put into sorcery and the high effort they put in battle pass. Clearly half or more of every time and effort is spent on battle pass. The details are in what is freely added vs what is in battle pass added.
I have indeed built every kind of golem. I went and counted. I have 12 large chests full of golem parts and I didn’t craft any of them[Crystalline included]. It’s all loot from dungeons and bosses. Golems are a dime a dozen. That’s why they are how they are. It’s an easy to obtain throw away thrall.
@mynotaure do you use golems? Do you play on PVP servers? Do you use golems on PVP? I haven’t found golems in PVP servers useful. Thralls are useful. Pets are useful. Golems are like witch doctor perk. Meaning they worthless. We can no longer can learn witch doctor. Funcom remove it. What’s stopping them from removing golems. Couldn’t heal the undead in witch doctor. The undead you made were weaker than thralls. Same pattern on witch doctor as golem.
It’s been so long. I can’t remember. Do you @Glurin use golems? Do you build golems? If you think they are useful auto farmers than you are wrong. Crystalline golems cap at harden steel tools.
Yes, I do use golems. Even stone and iron ones. And yes, they are useful auto farmers even in single player where they only harvest while you’re around. Plant one outside your base farming whatever is nearby. Stone, wood, plant fiber, whatever. He’ll harvest as you’re messing around with workbenches or whatever.
Every once in a while, you can collect a stack of resources from him. Doesn’t matter what grade tool they have, it’s still free resources that you didn’t have to go out and gather yourself.
Stop looking at what they can’t do and start looking at what they can do.
