NICE BUG!! I logged in with the buggy store. I was trying to purchase storm glass DLC with coins but it wouldn’t let me. After I logged out and logged in the second times, I got banned!!! WOWOWOWOW!!
This Game is amazing man! What a great game to start!!!
While I did not get banned for trying to buy coins while playing, I had the same problem with purchasing coins ingame. I can´t finish the payment process. I do all my purchases via paypal and I can choose the coins and it redirects me to paypal. But after entering my passwort I get a never ending loading screen and thats it. When I close the window it tells me that the purchase failed. I tried it several times since yesterday and I am not able to buy coins while I am ingame.
I can however buy wallet money through the steam store without problems.
Zendesk is the place to resolve this. Posting it on the forums will accomplish nothing.
Well I make it easy for you to understand. Its not the customers problem to solve ingame payment issues. They wanted this ingame shop, now they have to deal with it. If I am not able to buy coins they are not earning anything.
I am not spending my precious time going to zendesk when I can make a post in this forum quick and easy. I am pretty sure the stuff manages to inform the devs about the issues.
I guess if we want to generalize this and make it a type of Feedback, without the specifics of this case so that it’s more in line with the purpose of the forums…
Then I would say that I have to agree, I have never seen anything like this anywhere else I think that banning people for anything related to the itemshop and then demanding they pay to unlock their account (like some elaborate ransomware
) is just plain black and white wrong, especially automatically without any human investigation being launched - which looks to be the case with these.
So I would encourage Funcom to get rid of that piece of code and if they have financial issues like chargebacks and whatnot, pursue them via the appropriate financial avenues like most other companies, or limit the type of payment options / provides they accept to those who would pursue these automatically as part of their service.
That’s just my opinion, I don’t know much about these as it hasn’t happened to me, just going based off this screenshot It really looks bad…
Edit: Alternatively disabling “entitlements” to itemshop / premium stuff only might be less of an issue (I actually don’t know if that’s the case and the message is just misleading, but I had this thought right after posting that maybe it’s just a ban from using bazaar items but you can still play the game? Clarification might help)
Sure would be nice if you could just buy coins in the same online stores you buy the game, like steam, psn, etc. On PlayStation, I’ve been wishing I could just buy in the PlayStation store. I got the UK version, but I have to buy them separately since I play on a US account (in game it links to the UK store and says it can’t be found). It might help solve this issue too if you weren’t confined to buying within the game and being subjected to its bugs.
Actually, the forums provide a means of consolidating people with similar problems. This helps the players to see if it’s a widespread problem since Funcom is anything but transparent with it’s issues.
For instance, last weekend we encountered some authentication failures, making it impossible for a good number of people to login to any server. It persisted the entire weekend because Funcom was “out of the office”. Granted, they seemed to have fixed it over the week, but now the exact same problem is back again during the weekend?
Funcom blamed playfab for it last weekend, despite playfab still working for a plethora of other gaming companies that use it. When you’ve been playing Funcom games since Anarchy Online in 2001, you know better than to take anything Funcom says at face value.
I have close friends who’s base was wiped on 6107 for no reason because of false flag reporting. Public knowledge of issues with this company is the ONLY way it gets fixed. Zendesk is like playing Russian roulette if you want something actually looked at.
This issue is best resolved by filing a ticket with the Help Center. Discussing it in the forums will not get your issue resolved. The Forum Staff does not have access to the Payment system to resolve your issue.
