So I decided to take a break from modded servers thinking the experience on Official would be decent. You know what just happened? Someone hacked, and stole all of my materials from a closed base: Not during raid times. No, my chest was nowhere near a window, and yes, it was locked. ALL inventories are gone: And there is nothing in the event log.
I spent days farming, enjoying the experience of vanilla.
Now I’m uninstalling the game and I’ll never purchase another Funcom product again in my life. Why even bother asking for my items back? When your system actually allows for hackers to clear out inventories without so much as leaving behind an event log for us to report.
They can just do it again: And again, and again. It’s like someone has the admin passwords to the Official servers. (When’s the last time you changed them?)
Seriously, fix your issues. At this point, you have the whole subscription.
in my experiences you either deal with hackers on official or deal with admin abuse on private servers. i prefer to harass and wipe the hackers than bother with private servers now. every single official server has had one or multiple hackers eventually show up and every single private server i’ve played on either had obvious admin abuse or disappeared as soon as they got the donations they were begging for
