I play on Ps4 ~ My home base is in the snow biom…But it seems everytime I log into the game everyday, or the game crashes, and I’m not instantly right back to logging in… The game takes my body, drops everything that is on me, in my inventory and hotbar…everything and teleports me to the original spawn location in the desert. I’ll break my bracelet and go to where my body might’ve been…or should’ve been… And there isn’t anything there. I play on official server #3599, and pretty much the alpha of the server, it’s frustrating to the max when I have to create more sets of everything from this bug, than actual PvP loss…I hope this has been already discovered at the very least and being worked on…I’d really hate to step away from a game I’ve already put so much time on, because of the frustration.
You might be dead from cold? But yeah the invisble body bug is nasty AF if it’s that the issue you’re seeing.
That’s a possibility, but when I log in, it doesn’t say I died, or was killed by anything when I log, like it does, if you’ve actually been killed by something…I wear perfected gear to protect from the cold, ontop of that I log out in sheltered areas with torches and what not. I’ll literally spawn in, un-raided… nothing says I was killed, but i’ll be in the desert, and whatever health i had before, or hunger/thirst will still be the same… like I said, it’s happened to me when the game crashes, as well and usually join right back within 5 mins or so.
Also, the invisible body glitch you can take a skinning knife to where your body should’ve been if you know exactly where your body is and your loot bag will appear. But yeah, still annoying I agree
It’s a known issue since the first parity patch and many users including myself have lost lots of items because of it. They have commented on the forums that they are looking into it.
When you log off your character will start to take cold damage and they won’t regen health like they do when you are logged on so your character will die.
It doesn’t matter if you log off next to a torch or in a shelter or with cold protection gear on or all 3, you will still die! You need to build a hearth and log out next to it to survive.
Your character dies in just about 10 minutes or less from logging out which could explain why there is no corpse left as the timer for the corpse may have run out. Depending of course how long you logged off for.
Before I log out I always remove all my items and place them into a locked chest just incase, I suggest you do the same.
In about 5 mins you will be dead. I can’t remember the exact time but I tested it a fair amount when the bug first appeared and you won’t survive that long at all.
Yeah I’ve been putting my stuff in a chest lately… But sometimes I’ll forget and just log out, or crash as I said. But it is good to know that they have heard of it atleast, I looked around for awhile and didn’t see anyone bring the topic up. I know I’ve lost so much and my clan including. Thanks for the information
Also, does it tell you that you died when you log in? Doesn’t for me. Just wondering
Nah never did. I would just log in and boom I was back in the desert at the start again.
