Help please! im afraid i lost all my buildings - admin

im an admin and i use pippi mode. i worked on a big project from 2 different clans. now it says that all of these building have no owner, and i do not see these clans on the clans list. i did a back up from steam right before, but either im doing it wrong or that backups do not keep the clans and ownerships?

Is there a way to access my dungeons or get my ownership back\transfort the buildings to be mine? thanks alot

I don’t know if this can be done through Pippi or not, potentially through their bluboarding system. But I’m unsure if that saves the state of the ownership (or in this case no ownership), when you cut and paste a building.

Since backups aren’t working the only other recourse is using SQL on the database to give ownership to the buildings that way. But each building would need to be editted in such a fashion. Identifying which building is which this way would be hard if you don’t have any idea to what SQL is.

All I can say is in the future, consider a second account for admin builds. Whenever I admin for a server and have custom made dungeons or other ‘admin’ type builds. I use a second account (you can effectively do this through Steam’s family share, you need a 2nd Steam account in which you link through family share and share Conan Exiles to it from the main) that is in an Administration clan. That character never leaves that clan unless there is at least one other character in it.

When characters join a clan, there’s a chance their previous one will poof if they were the only ones in it. This is near guaranteed if they lose connection or logoff before rejoining it.

thanks alot. i dont know if the back up isnt working, i think i simply do not know how to active the backup since i dont go back in time even to older backups.

in pippi mode you can have empty clans and just enter and leave as you wish. the problem was that i opened a new clan for someone and then when i left it made me lose it… i knew there is a chance like that so i did backup before, but it keep opening me the server as i left it.

we just downloaded SQL, it requires a password to access… do you know what should i do there? thanks alot again

You -can- but its risky. The first time I had a 100,000 block build go no-owner and required a roll back… I went with the method I outlined before.

If you’re on Exiled Lands, you pretty much rename or move the game.db file. In the same area you can rename the game_backup_XX.db to game.db and then start the server. You’ll want to pick the number of the backup that corresponds with the time the clan lost ownership. The game makes backups every 5 minutes and the lower the number the more recent the backup.

You’ll need FTP access of course. Or use your server host’s backup restore function if it has one. I cannot really help there since each host does it differently.

I do not. When using SQL, you’ll want to download the game.db file in question and then open that database in SQL. And depending on which software you have, it might let you edit values directly, or require a set of SQL commands.

I’m going to be honest, I haven’t had to do something like this in a while. My experience with SQL is some college classes 2 decades ago and one decade ago. And then like 3 or 4 database edits on a Conan Exiles database when I absolutely need to. Usually using the Admins United discord for information.

But as of writing this I decided to take a quick gander and I believe you want to try and figure which buildings are lacking an ID in the buildings table and set the owner_id to one of the clans which will be in the guilds table under guildId. At least I believe that should work just doing a quick look at the database.

appreciate it alot really thank you

You can check the BluBoard feature from Pippi as well. I have used it yet but it might help you.
