Believe me, I get what you’re saying (and have done agility builds plenty) - but I’m doing a strength build this time (at least for as long as I can get away with it), because I want to I’m enjoying finally being back to an axe - and that’s the big upside of singleplayer, I can do it the way I want and don’t have to worry about competing with any sort of meta.
Now, I’ll almost certainly end up having to put something into Agility at some stage, just to get a reasonable bit of speed - but I’m on 0.2 times XP, so I’ve got a long way to go before I even reach 60 and need to start worrying about that. (At the moment I’ve only got 5 in Vit - I’m much more worried about that )
Yeah - I agree, they’ve done great work making Agility builds feel good and I hope they bring Strength up in value, rather than nerfing Agility (though we all know how that’s likely to go…). I liked what Defiant was saying about preying on Agility builds - that suggests to me Agility isn’t overpowered so hopefully shouldn’t get nerfed - but it’ll need plenty of defending when the next round of whining about ‘meta-builds’ starts up.
Another of the great advantages we have in singleplayer - we get to play and restart as we choose, with no outside pressure
(Incidentally - if you haven’t looked into it yet - I find CodeMage’s BUGLE (Butt-Ugly Game Launcher Engine) to be a really useful tool for easily backing up and swapping between different playthroughs - with different modlists etc - allows me to keep a clean unmodded game for testing bugs as well as multiple concurrent playthroughs. I highly recommend giving it a look (and would be happy to go through explanations if desired - though it is pretty straightforward and I don’t imagine would give you problems).)
